Scotland played Lithuania back in October last year, the sweaty 1-1 draw at Hampden. Ten changes to that team tonight. Andrew Robertson is the only survivor. The chosen ones then were Marshall - Paterson, Martin, Hanley, Robertson - Fletcher, Bannan, Ritchie, Snodgrass, Burke - Martin.

Good evening and a warm welcome to our live text coverage of Scotland's World Cup qualifier in Lithuania.

Strachan's troops have travelled to Vilnius with a spring in their step: the draw with England has bolstered their collective confidence with four games remaining in Group F.

The Scots are fourth in the table, six points behind leaders England and four behind Slovakia in second spot.

Is a play-off place still a possibility? Scotland are in Lithuania tonight, before facing Malta at Hampden next Monday.

  5. Scotland 'believe' againpublished at 18:30

    Lithuania v Scotland (19:45)

It's funny what a draw against England can do to revive a flagging World Cup qualification campaign.

The magical boot of striker Leigh Griffiths gave a footballing nation two memorable moments at Hampden in June to rekindled hope that maybe, just maybe, a World Cup finals place remains within Scotland's grasp.

"All the players believe," says Scotland manager Gordon Strachan. "All the coaching staff believe and I think after the last couple of performances [the home win against Slovenia and that draw against England], the fans have got their belief back

"Against England, our fans were magnificent. By all accounts they're here [in Vilnius] in numbers again and if they can get behind the boys then that will give us an extra lift."
