The last few weeks have been a bit of a reality check for Leeds supporters after their flying start under new boss Thomas Christiansen.

Four defeats in five matches, including a 3-0 loss at rivals Sheffield Wednesday, has seen the chasing pack close in - although they remain in fifth.

Tonight's opponents Derby have won three on the bounce, are unbeaten in six matches and would move into the play-offs with victory at Elland Road.

Having beaten second-place Wolves on Saturday, QPR now have a dig at the league leaders and make just one change to the side, with David Wheeler replacing Joel Lynch. Sheffield United's trip to Loftus Road brings three changes, John Lundstram, Clayton Donaldson and David Brooks come in for Chris Wilder's table-toppers.

Denis Odoi and Stefan Johansen come in for Fulham. Bristol City defender Nathan Baker misses out with a knee injury and Matty Taylor is dropped to the bench, with Eros Pisano and Korey Smith starting.

Burton have made two changes from the Ipswich loss, bringing in Sean Scannell and Hope Akpan. Paul Heckingbottom has tinkered with the Barnsley squad, with Zeki Fryers, Brad Potts, Lloyd Isgrove and Ike Ugbo coming in to the starting line-up.

Under-pressure Sunderland boss Simon Grayson makes four changes, including in goal where Robin Ruiter replaces Jason Steele. Bolton make one tweak to the starting XI from Saturday's draw with Fulham, Antonee Robinson replacing Andrew Taylor at left-back.

Just one victory from their 14 league games has seen the Black Cats slip to 23rd.

Tonight, the only side to have endured a worse start, Bolton Wanderers, visit the Stadium of Light.

The bad news... Sunderland have not won at home since December 2016. Defeat would send them to the bottom of the Championship. Strap yourself in folks!

Wolves' defeat at QPR on Saturday, thanks to Matt Smith's late header, was just their third loss of the season.

Tonight, Nuno's side travel to Norwich who are hovering just outside the play-offs.

Arguably the Championship's other surprise package this season are Bristol City.

Saturday's 2-1 win at Sunderland saw Lee Johnson's side climb to fourth and in Bobby Reid they have the division's joint top scorer.

A visit to last season's play-off semi-finalists Fulham, who can't stop drawing games, awaits this evening.

Friday's 2-1 win at Yorkshire rivals Leeds, coupled with Wolves' loss at QPR on Saturday saw Chris Wilder's men go top of the Championship for the first time this campaign.

Don't forget, they only came up from League One last season.

Can they stay at the summit tonight? The Blades play Wolves' conquerors at Loftus Road.

I'll be honest, the Blades weren't my pick to be the pacesetters, but the table doesn't lie.

And it makes terrific reading for fans in one half of the Steel City with almost a third of the season gone...
