Chris Mitchell: Phil Jones, that is absolutely world class sir. Brilliant defending. Such a shame you are made of glass

Joseph Trotter: Should do Sunday league rules. Anyone who doesn't turn up for training/friendlies doesn't go to the tournaments. Team over individuals.

Adam Clowe: Loftus-Cheek behave lad, you’re looking good for England.

Jordan Pickford and Phil Jones, take a bow the pair of you.

Timo Werner is clear in the box but his low shot is pushed out by the diving Pickford. Sane gathers and looks for all the world like he is going to give Germany the lead, but Jones' goal-line header prevents him. Wonderful defending.

However, it looks like it will be Jones' last meaningful contribution. He has been struggling from the early stages.

It's not the worst England friendly you've seen. It has yet to develop into anything like the best, though.

Germany remain the most likely side to open the scoring. Look a real threat on the break...

    France 1-0 Wales

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Stade de France

To say that French goal was coming might be a contender for understatement of the season.

They have been all over Wales from kick-off, dominating possession and creating several chances.

It was a nicely taken goal and the very least France deserve. Their fans are loving this.

    France 1-0 Wales

Wave after wave. Blaise Matuidi finds space 25 yards from goal and fires a shot that deflects just over. It has been a long 20 minutes for Wales. The next 70 could feel like a month.

    Antoine Griezmann

Lovely goal. It's been coming from the start.

Corentin Tolisso floats a ball over the top of the Wales defence towards Antoine Griezmann, who steadies himself before lashing a volley past Wayne Hennessey. Class goal from a class outfit.

The two games previous to this one have felt more like Premier League games than international games. You can feel the edge from the fans in the stadium. This means a lot to both sets of fans and you can feel that.

Germany starting to run this now. They are monopolising possession. Mesut Ozil's floated ball forward is just a yard too far forward for Leroy Sane to bring down in the box.

    France 0-0 Wales

France are getting closer. Kylian Mbappe's angled effort is deflected up on to the bar by Wayne Hennessey's legs.

If Wales prevent France scoring tonight it will be a miracle. Les Bleus look up for this.
