  • Celtic win Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park

  1. HALF-TIME Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Acciespublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Scott Davie
    BBC Scotland in Dingwall

It's been a bruising first half in Dingwall, which I suppose is hardly surprising given the way both sides have struggled for points at the start of the season.

Referee Stephen Finnie deserves credit for limiting himself to the single booking of Ross County captain Andrew Davies in the first half for a brutal challenge on Stephen Boyd.

Other than that, the tackles have generally been thumping but fair, even though County defender Marcus Fraser now looks like Rab C. Nesbitt as his head is swathed in bandages after a collision with Rakish Bingham's elbow.

  2. Match Abandoned - Stranraer 1-1 Raith Roverspublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

The League One match down at Stair Park has been abandoned because of severe weather, apparently caused by the incoming Storm Brian.

  3. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Academical

County captain Andrew Davies hits the deck in the box, with Hamilton defender Alexander Gogic appearing to catch him with an arm.

The referee had a good view of it but elects not to award a penalty.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:41 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Hearts 0-0 St Johnstone

Hearts are piling on the pressure and, after Jamie Walker's effort is deflected wide at the near post, Christophe Berra rises to meet the corner and his downward header is turned wide by goalkeeper Alan Mannus.

  5. goal

GOAL Dunfermline Athletic 3-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Kallum Higginbotham

Livingston have not lost away from home in the league in 2017, but it looks like that run is coming to an end as Kallum Higginbotham scores his second of the afternoon to put the Pars in total control.

  6. goal

GOAL Dundee United 0-2 Inverness Caledonian Thistlepublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Connor Bell

It's all going wrong for Ray McKinnon at Tannadice.

Caley Thistle counterpart John Robertson was in the Inverness Courier this morning saying he did not think it too late for his side to revive their promotion challenge and they are well worth their lead over the pre-season title favourites.

  7. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Academical

County's Marcus Fraser has blood pouring down his face after an elbow from Rakish Bingham, but he's done well to hide it from the referee for a good five minutes so he can continue.

However, with his side about to defend a corner kick, referee Stephen Finnie spots the injury and orders him off for treatment, putting the home side temporarily down to 10 men.

  8. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Academical

    Scott Davie
    BBC Scotland in Dingwall

Ross County certainly aren't holding back in their attempts to give Owen Coyle a first home win, with Jason Naismith in particular causing havoc down the right-hand side.

His strength and pace going forward has created the Staggies' best chances so far, but Alexander Gogic and goalkeeper Ryan Fulton have made crucial interventions to keep Hamilton level so far.

  9. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Firhill

Thistle have to try to make the Dundee penalty miss be a massive turning point, but with the space Dundee are finding going forward, it still looks like the visitors can score more.

Wing-back Kevin Holt is finding loads of room down the left and Glen Kamara is based deep in midfield but isn't afraid to roam.

  10. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Academical

County are edging closer to an opening goal. David Keillor-Dunn and Jason Naismith are both causing problems down the wing.

The former gets down the left, his cross finds the on-running Naismith, but he blasts his shot wide.

  11. goal

    Fraser Aird

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:31 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

Another chance for Dundee as Sofien Moussa heads wide. Moments later, Jesse Curran fires past the post.

Thistle were dealt a lifeline with the Tomas Cerny penalty save, but they are clinging on in this game.

  13. Postpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Hearts 0-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland at Murrayfield

Very few chances in the opening 30 minutes at Murrayfield. Kyle Lafferty sent a glancing header just wide, while Hearts goalkeeper Jon McLuaghlin has yet to be tested at the other end.

Prince Buaben and Aaron Corrie have both found their way into the notebook of referee Nick Walsh after a couple of meaty challenges.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Ross County 0-0 Hamilton Academical

Fine one-handed save from Hamilton Academical goalkeeper Ryan Fulton.

Billy Mckay gets free of his marker and sends a header towards the back post, but Fulton manages to scramble back and palm the ball clear.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

Tomas Cerny redeems himself for conceding that penalty by blocking AJ Leitch-Smith's spot-kick with his legs.

Could that be the turning point for the Jags?

Leitch-Smith could be in trouble with team-mate Sofien Moussa for over-ruling the striker in the race to take the spot-kick.

  17. PENALTYpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

Tomas Cerny takes out AJ Leitch-Smith as the Dundee striker tries to round him and Dundee have a penalty. Goalkeeper Cerny is also booked.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:22 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

Sofien Moussa fires wide from Lewis Spence's low ball across. Had the Dundee striker got it on target, it would've been a goal as goalkeeper Tomas Cerny was beaten by the cross.

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Hearts 0-0 St Johnstone

Hearts are close to the opener at Murrayfield, but Kyle Lafferty heads wide from a corner.

  20. Nervy Thistle still in it at Firhillpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Dundee

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Firhill

Sense a real nervousness in the Thistle defence as they already have to try to recover from Dundee's early opener.

One of Dundee's key threats early on in the game has been 21-year-old Australian winger Jesse Curran - he's playing down the right side.

Thistle don't look out of this though. For all they look porous at the back, they've still carved out a couple of good chances but lacked the final break of the ball.
