Huge cheer goes up when the name Gary Fraser was read out as one of the Partick Thistle substitutes.

The combative midfielder has missed over a year of football due to a serious knee injury and manager Alan Archibald says he might try to give him 20 minutes of action today, depending on how the game is going.

Jags' top scorer, Blair Spittal, drops to the bench, with Archibald hinting that he has had a quieter last couple of games.

Dundee start a young Australian midfielder called Jesse Curran, who boss Neil McCann rates really highly.

  13. Premiership focuspublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

Attention now turns to this afternoon's three Premiership games and, in particular, on Firhill.

Partick Thistle host Dundee with manager Alan Archibald under increasing pressure.

The Glasgow side sit bottom of the table, three points behind Kilmarnock, who are not playing this weekend.

Hamilton and Ross County are a point ahead of the Ayrshire side and at least one of them will add to their tally as they face one another in Dingwall.

Meanwhile, Hearts host St Johnstone at Murrayfield. The Saints can move up to fourth with a win, but the Edinburgh side can jump above the visitors into fifth if they claim the three points.

  14. Celtic mentality pleases Rodgerspublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    FT: Hibernian 2-4 Celtic

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has lauded his players for their League Cup semi-final win over Hibs.

"I am pleased with the players, particularly their mentality," he told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound.

"To come out on the side of playing in the Champions League in midweek and against a difficult opponent and score four goals, I am very pleased.

"To get up to 60 games without a domestic defeat is really incredible.

"At times, we had a bit of fatigue in our legs, but we controlled the tempo of the game."

  15. Lennon takes positives in defeatpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    FT: Hibernian 2-4 Celtic

Hibs head coach Neil Lennon insisted he could take a lot of positives out of the League Cup semi-final defeat by Celtic.

"We gave them a two-goal start and you can't do that and the manner we gave away the goals was disappointing," he told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound.

"We improved in the second half, but overall I was pleased with the way we played and there were some good performances out there.

"It gave us a lot to do in the second half, but we had a real good go at it.

"It is just sloppiness of the goals that were the difference."

Ross County are looking for a first home win under new manager Owen Coyle and the Staggies first in the Premiership at home since a victory against Hamilton Accies back in May.

Martin Canning's side are just as desperate for the points after a terrible time on and off the park recently as a sixth straight league defeat will equal their worst run in any division in 18 years.

Coyle makes one change from the side who lost to Hearts last weekend, with Billy Mckay recalled up front and Ross Draper dropping on to the bench.

Hamilton make two changes to the team beaten at home by Motherwell, with Gionnis Skondras and Massimo Donati replaced with Darren Lyon and Steven Boyd.

Mikael Lustig was one of two Celtic players to score twice and the right-back was delighted with his part in helping his side reach the League Cup final.

"We played quite good and had a lot of the ball," he told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound.

"They got a penalty and suddenly they were back in the game, but I think we were the better team.

"It is always nice to score a goal at Hampden.

"We are feeling good, but I don't think we have reached our peak as yet."
