We have a first booking and it's a very foolish yellow card for Michael Gardyne, who clatters into Mikael Lustig long after the Celtic defender had kicked the ball clear.

Celtic continue to probe for an opening but there's not a lot of daylight in the Ross County penalty box as the home side pack men in front of goalkeeper Aaron McCarey.

We've had a couple of goals already in the Scottish Cup and Lothian Thistle can forget an upset as Lewis Morgan and Gavin Reilly give St Mirren the perfect start.

Kieran Tierney gets a sore one on the ankle as Craig Curran slides in with his studs up. Referee Nick Walsh keeps his cards in his pocket but we might see one soon as it starts to get a bit feisty.

That's four corners to Celtic now and Aaron McCarey has plucked every one out of the air. Good stuff from the County custodian.

No one other than Callum McGregor was claiming for a penalty after that earlier challenge from Christopher Routis. TV replays suggest County got away with one there...

The visitors are starting to turn the screw now, with County being pressed back deep into their own half.

Another good burst from Callum McGregor has County in a flap at the back but his pass into the box from the right is just slightly behind team-mate Stuart Armstrong.

Soon after, McGregor weaves his way forward from a central area and it needs a good tackle from Christopher Routis to take the ball off his toes. Or did he have a nibble at his heel first? The Celtic midfielder waves his arms in appeal as he hits the deck but the officials are not interested.

The big keeper gets a quick once over from the County medical team and he's fine to continue. Back-up stopper Ross Munro is only 17.

First corner of the game goes to Celtic after an injection of pace from Callum McGregor causes consternation for the hosts. Goalkeeper Aaron McCarey comes a long way to collect with authority but has he done himself some damage? He's getting some treatment after a heavy crash landing.

Free kick to County and a chance to load up the box with the big men. An offside flag goes up straight away. Criminal...

Michael Gardyne cuts out a slack pass from Nir Bitton and County are on the charge. The attack ends with Davies Keillor-Dunn sweeping a first-time shot over the top from the edge of the penalty box.

Celtic are popping the ball around confidently at the back but the pitch isn't exactly a bowling green, so they are risking the 'bobble-factor' as County press with good energy.

Ross Draper often sits deep in the County midfield but it looks like he has been asked to play a bit further up the park today. He's a big unit and could cause problems in the air if the home side can supply the ammunition.

Michael Gardyne sneaks in behind the Celtic defence but can't quite reach a clever pass from Davies Keillor-Dunn ahead of goalkeeper Craig Gordon, who smothers the ball at the edge of his penalty area.

These two met in September, with Celtic running out comfortable 4-0 winners in Glasgow.

James Forrest scored twice that day and the winger has been in fine form this season, meaning the absence of the injured Patrick Roberts has not been felt.
