Everton look shattered. Since Big Sam came in he's ushered them up the table, but he'll be disappointed with the manner of goals they've conceded today.

I think there will be some further business done in this transfer window by Allardyce, I know they've been linked with Theo Walcott, and he would give them some pace.

Are we about to have Everton's first shot on target?

    Nah.

Wayne Rooney breaks through on the right, it looks promising but his cross is behind everyone and the chance is gone.

Christian Eriksen has been classy today - he's such a smooth, balanced footballer - he's been a pleasure to watch. His first touch, his passing and his movement are all superb.

Richard Cohen: Very similar variants of garbage under Koeman, Unsworth and Allardyce. At some point you have to wonder if player recruitment is the prime issue. How many in blue would make the Spurs team?

  9. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Tottenham 4-0 Everton

    Tottenham are not done yet.

They come forward again but, luckily for Everton, Son Heung-min gets his wrong as he tries to bend the ball into the top corner.

Budgie: Lookman must be terrible in training as Koeman, Unsworth and Big Sam all seem to ignore him when all Evertonians are screaming for him to play more!

Paul: Lookman doesn’t start matches as he is better off the bench. He went missing when Koeman gave him a short run of starts.

Silky football from Tottenham Hotspur - one-touch football at its best - and when it's come to Christian Eriksen he's just swept it in. Tottenham have been at their best today.

This has reminded me of the Spurs of last season, and how strong they were at White Hart Lane last season, when they just brushed teams aside - they've done that to Everton today.

GOAL - Tottenham 4-0 Evertonpublished at 82 mins

    Christian Eriksen

    Beautiful goal!

Tottenham, playing like this, are an absolute joy to watch.

Son Heung-min scoops the ball to Dele Alli, who backheels it for Christan Eriksen and the midfielder slams home.

Sam Allardyce cranks up his gum chewing from frustrated to furious.

    Tottenham 3-0 Everton

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

Mason Holgate is going to be a fine defender when he starts racking up more appearances and building his experience. He's got all the attributes to be a top player, and Sam Allardyce will only help his development.

Simon Wells: I love Kane but all this 'Tottenham’s highest scorer in Premier League history' stuff? Football did exist before ‘91. The Prem is 27 years out of 130 years of top flight footy. It’s disrespectful to those who achieved so much before.

Dave Payn: I’m an Arsenal fan but I'm full of admiration for this current Spurs side. More likely to gain major trophies in the near future than Arsenal.

  17. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Everton

It's been a busy evening for Jordan Pickford and he keeps the scoreline moderately respectable with a double save, first to keep out Son Heung-min from close range before denying Dele Alli's tame follow up.

  18. Vertonghen Spurs Player of the Season?published at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Tottenham 3-0 Everton

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

For me, Jan Vertonghen has been Spurs' best player this season. When you remember Toby Alderweireld has been out for most of the season, it just gets even better, Vertonghen has used all his experience to marshal Spurs' back line and the way he's helped Davinson Sanchez has been fantastic.

  20. Great to see Wanyama backpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Tottenham 3-0 Everton

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

It's been great to see Victor Wanyama coming back in recent weeks. He's a real powerhouse of a midfielder, and he had a great campaign last time. A well-deserved break for Eric Dier, too, he put in a good shift today.
