    Watford 0-0 Southampton

It's safe to say that in the opening 10 minutes or so, Watford have looked to get the ball wide. Just look at that split in the graphic.

Richarlison attacks down the left, Southampton well positioned in a 4-1-4-1 formation. They resist his efforts briefly but from the home side's next attack, Richarlison produces an air shot when well placed in the box.

You would have thought West Ham would have taken a youngster to fill their bench, but David Moyes has opted not to, so therefore you've got to think it's a message to the board - a plea for help if you like. But there must be so many youngsters at West Ham wondering what they've got to do to get a chance.

The triple threat of Cesc Fabregas, Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard link with some fluidity up the middle of the Leicester half. It ends with Hazard firing low at goal but it's held easily.

So far so good for West Brom. They have the lead and Brighton are doing little to trouble them.

    Long way to get yet.

    Martin Keown

For me it looks like a penalty because James Tarkowski doesn't get the ball whatsoever, he commits early and he's just mistimed it totally - he just takes Bakary Sako out.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

James Tarkowski's heart was in his mouth.

He lunges in as Bakary Sako looks to get a shot off in the area. Home side want a penalty but Tarkowski just about got something on the ball.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Swansea

Dwight Gayle again with a good opportunity for Newcastle. Ayoze Perez makes his way into the area on the left and floats a cross straight to Gayle, six yards out from goal, but the Newcastle striker somehow puts his header wide. Should at least have got that on target.

Still, encouraging start by the hosts.

Leicester are playing on the front foot. Chelsea have not got themselves together in this first half.

  10. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Chelsea are on thin ice - thin ice I warn you.

Wilfred Ndidi gets up to head at goal from a corner and can't get enough on it. An opening again.

Can it sting the home side into something? Cesc Fabregas gets a ball fed to him in the area... spins and shoots... parried away.

    Good game.

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Ham

Lively start by the hosts, roared on by a very vocal home crowd once again.

Terriers winger Joe Lolley is looking lively, his direct running giving the West Ham defence a few nervous moments, but still no clear cut chances for either side.

Gone but never ever forgotten - Graham is a part of the furniture here at Watford with a stand bearing his name, a huge banner which gets unfurled over the heads of the fans with a picture of his face right in the middle of it and countless photos and memories around the ground of the glory years under his management.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Leicester should be ahead.

Ben Chilwell gets in behind down the left and cuts a ball across the six-yard box which Shinji Okazaki lifts over the bar. He threw himself at it but got under the flick.

Jamie Vardy slips the defence moments later and instinctively guides an effort into the side netting and less than a minute later he's in again, dragging an effort across the face.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is at the heart of an early midfield battle at Vicarage Road as these sides get a feel for one another. Dusan Tadic briefly slips behind the Watford defence but his cross from a good area is poor and goes behind.

Watford could do with taking advantage of Southampton's dire form. They are the only team in the Premier League to have won more games away than at home this season.

    Newcastle 0-0 Swansea

    New year new Newcastle?

Rafael Benitez's side endured a miserable run to the end of 2017 with just one win in 12 Premier League games but they kicked off 2018 with victory at Stoke and are looking bright in this game, Dwight Gayle planting a header on target but too close to the keeper.

It wouldn't surprise me if David Moyes gets in one or two defenders in January, but only if the price is right. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Javier Hernandez go, because it seems like he's not part of Moyes' plans. So, if he goes they'll be another striker to bring in, too, it's going to be a busy window for West Ham.

Colin: Can't help thinking Danny Drinkwater's Chelsea career is going the same way as Scott Parker's did. Left an established Premier League club chasing the big bucks, only to become a bench warmer.

Femi: What are we gonna get from Alvaro Morata today? He needs to man up against the Foxes - who are going to try and rile him up!

It's a brilliantly worked goal from West Brom, they've got players in the box, it's a great ball in and it's a great goal. Jonny Evans is one of two players at the back post, and he's lost his marker, and it's an easy header in the end.

A rare sight - a goal for the hosts!

It's been 20 games without a league win for the Baggies but they make the perfect start in this game as Johnny Evans heads in after a corner is flicked on at the near post.
