  1. 'Cahill offers something different'published at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm a little surprised that Andreas Christensen has been left out, he's been very solid at the back but what I do think is important is that Gary Cahill offers a threat going forward, certainly at corners. In the past you had John Terry contributing goals and Cahill does offer Chelsea that something different.

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Brom

Sir Alex Ferguson has popped over the Pennines to watch Huddersfield's game against David Moyes' West Ham.

I do sometimes wonder what the relationship is now like between Ferguson and Moyes after the Manchester United shenanigans.

No chances for either side so far in this game.

  3. Postpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

I don't want to worry Leicester fans but Chelsea look slick.

Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso and Alvaro Morata just combined with slickness, resulting in N'Golo Kante seeing a shot blocked.

    Fresh stuff.

  4. Feeling yellowpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    George Cummins
BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge

Under way at Stamford Bridge. Mike Jones is the ref. Produced 29 yellow cards in nine Premier League matches this season.

How many will we see today? I reckon five.

  8. Hodgson has a way of grinding out resultspublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

Crystal Palace v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

Scott Dann and Mamadou Sakho was going to be the centre-back partnership to take Palace forward, but they're both out for the foreseeable future, and they'll miss Andros Townsend tremendously too. But Roy Hodgson always has a way of grinding out results, he can sacrifice attacking players to make sure his team get a draw. I think it'll be a low scoring game later today - but I do think Palace will get a result.

  9. Postpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

Roy Hodgson wanders up the touchline and applauds the fans at Selhurst Park. He's just progressed past that point in the stand where Eric Cantona took a fancy to all those years ago. Roy keeps clapping energetically.

  10. Can Magpies end bad home run?published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Newcastle v Swansea (15:00 GMT)

There will be some nervous energy at Newcastle today. A home defeat will cast major doubt over their credentials while an away defeat will leave Swansea even further adrift at the bottom.

    Tension.

Crystal Palace v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    John Southall
BBC Radio 5 live football reporter

    Gates at PalaceImage source, .

The last time these two sides met it was Frank de Boer’s final game as Crystal Palace manager, the 1-0 defeat at Burnley ended one of the Premier League’s shortest managerial careers. Many at the time criticised the club for firing after just four games but four months on and it looks a decision vindicated.

A win for Palace today and they’ll move five points above the relegation zone. But it’s a tall order against a Burnley side who’ve already picked up 17 points away from home and sit seventh despite not winning any of their last five league games.

    Fancy a draw.

  13. It would be a disaster for Swansea to lose Mawsonpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Newcastle v Swansea (15:00 GMT)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

Alfie Mawson has got huge potential, and I can't believe that he'd be allowed to leave in this transfer window. He's a decent player, but he's not very mobile at the moment, so he still has some developing to do. But saying that Swansea have really struggled this season, and he's been a very important player for them, it would be a disaster for them to lose him to be honest.

  14. Can Moyes make it 200 wins?published at 24 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 West Ham

    David MoyesImage source, .

David Moyes is on the brink of joining some decent company today.

He's one shy of becoming the fourth manager to win 200 Premier League matches, after Alex Ferguson (528), Arsene Wenger (468) and Harry Redknapp (236).

West Ham are four games without defeat in all competitions but so far they have struggled to create any sort of chance.

  15. 'Mahrez ripe to buy'published at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

I feel Riyad Mahrez is ripe to buy now - I can see him fitting in at Arsenal or Tottenham. His creativity and imagination, coming in from that right wing, can be an asset for any team. But it's going to take a big bid from someone to force Claude Puel into letting one of his star men leave.

  16. Nice to see you Danny...published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Chelsea v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Danny Drinkwater high fives loads of his former Leicester team-mates in the tunnel. No place for him in the Chelsea squad today after his 68 minutes in the EFL cup against Arsenal in midweek.

  19. Guaranteed goals?published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2018

    Watford v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

I think if you're looking for games with goals today - perhaps with having a flutter in mind - you could do worse than to turn to Vicarage Road.

There have been 34 goals scored in the last eight meetings between these sides at Vicarage Road in all competitions: 19 for Watford, 15 for Southampton.Image source, .

    HodgsonImage source, .

In his programme notes today, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson points to some serious business being done...

"We needed to add three or four new players before this spate of injuries; now it looks like we might need more," he writes.

The cash will be flowing at Selhurst Park this month it seems.
