Lotak: Son, deciding that hitting the ball cleanly wasn't working and desperate to score with his left food decides to fool the keeper by shooting with his standing left foot! He's a genius!

Jerry Elumeze: Did Son's right foot make an assist for the left foot there?

Neil Bourne: If Son scores a header, will it be a natural Hat-Trick, he's just scored with his right and left foot.

Man City 1-1 Basel (agg 5-1)

Basel actually have a chance to take the lead on the night - but Blas Riveros blasts the ball into Claudio Bravo's body from a tight angle.

Now City goalkeeper Bravo comes out of his box and flicks the ball over a couple of Basel players before clearing.

A couple of minutes ago, Phil Foden - who has been impressive - took an air kick with Yaya Toure's follow-up shot blocked.

Juventus almost level immediately. Miralem Pjanic whacks a shot inches wide of the left-hand post. A huge sigh of relief around Wembley.

So charitable for Juventus to let their under 9s team have a go in defence tonight.

How big a goal is that for Spurs? Brilliant defending initially from Juventus.

Son didn't have a good connection with the ball, he kicks it into the floor and it's a total mishit, but he won't care.

It's a long way back for Juventus now.

GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Juventuspublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2018

    Son Heung-min (39 mins)

Hahaha... it doesn't matter how they go in, right? We said Son Heung-min deserved a goal - and here it is!

After Andrea Barzagli blocks a cross, Kieran Tripper pounces on the loose ball and squares to the far post where Son is waiting.

He scuffs it into the ground and the ball somehow goes in with Buffon helpless. Advantage Spurs!

Son Heung-min has scored 13 of his 15 goals this season at Wembley - almost another here. He drills one across the face of goal and past the far post. Close but not close enough

If anyone deserves a goal tonight then it is Son....

Davinson Sanchez has been absolutely fantastic in these opening 35 minutes.

He hasn't put a foot wrong, he's defended superbly. It's a big night for him.

Juventus haven't ventured into Spurs territory much since that stonewall penalty was not given.

Here's a chance... free-kick about 40 yards out. It's dinked into the Spurs box but Davinson Sanchez is there to nut it clear.

That's a really naughty challenge from Andrea Barzagli.

He knows exactly what he's doing, he knows exactly where his boot is going to land.

Meanwhile, Spurs have a man down on the halfway line... it's Son Heung-min. That's naughty! Andrea Barzagli lands on the South Korean after the compete for a high ball, then seems to tread on him as Son is on the floor. Could have been, should have been, yellow.

Juventus know they have been in a scrap against Spurs, no matter who lands the knockout blow here. Gianluigi Buffon has already made seven saves in these two legs against Spurs - as many as he made in his five group games.

Make that eight... the ball drops to Dele Alli on the edge of the box as Medhi Benatia weakly heads clear a Kieran Tripper cross.

Alli shins it though, that's meat and drink for a man of Gianluigi Buffon's vintage.

  14. Unfamiliar City midfield faring better than new-look defencepublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2018

    Man City 1-1 Basel

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

This is only Yaya Toure's seventh start this season - and his second since Christmas - but he has slotted in seamlessly at the base of the City midfield, in the Fernandinho role if you like.

Either side of him, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan are raiding forward, and, between the three of them, they have helped City take almost complete control of possession - the home side have had more than 76% so far. Same old City, then, despite the fact that trio have only played together three times before.

Basel still fancy their chances on the break, though, and the space in the City area when the Swiss side scored betrays the fact that the home side are fielding a back four that have never started a game together before. They look a bit nervous whenever the visitors attack them.

Tom: Basel game cannot enter extra time now with that City goal. Basel do need four more goals however.

David: What I just like about Man City is, they don't get bored of keeping the ball if you don't press they'll just keep passing until they eventually squeeze you out.

Man City 1-1 Basel (agg 5-1)

Manchester City are in cruise control. Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass around defence, midfield and attack.

You feel they can turn the intensity up if needs be too. Ilkay Gundogan plays a pass over the top to Leroy Sane, who pulls the ball back to his fellow German, but his effort is blocked.

A couple of chances for Basel now. First, Dimitri Oberlin fires a free-kick into the side netting.

And now, Mohamed Elyounoussi goes past Danilo - for about two seconds before losing his footing and the chance is gone.

Concern for Eric Dier and Spurs. He gets cleaned out by Blaise Matuidi, without malice, but looks like he has just taken a dig from Anthony Joshua. A moment for Wembley to catch its breath as the Spurs midfielder gets some treatment.
