Femi John Atoyebi: Disgraceful officiating! How is that not a penalty to Chelsea?

Luke: Blimey Marcus Alonso, he should be sacked for that. Easier to score than to try and get a pen from the ref. Barely a touch, Jose Mourinho has left his mark on the Chelsea players.

  6. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Barcelona 2-0 Chelsea (agg: 3-1)

Chelsea have started the second period really well and earn another corner.

Willian whips it in but Luis Suarez clears it away.

Can Chelsea grab a goal back in this spell of possession?

  7. 'That's a penalty'published at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

    Barcelona 2-0 Chelsea (agg: 3-1)

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

My initial reaction was that's a penalty. Marcos Alonso got the wrong side of the Barcelona defenders and I think he's been robbed there.

Alonso would've finished from that range. He was 10-yards out - Chelsea are hard done by.

To make matters worse, Olivier Giroud is booked for his overzealous appeal, waving his arms in the direction of referee Damir Skomina.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 50 mins

    Marcos Alonso in on goal.

The Frenchman goes down under a challenge from Gerard Pique.

That has to be a penalty. The Chelsea players scream towards the referee.

Nothing given, looked stonewall to me.

    Barcelona get away with one.

That could have been the match. It's just a poor decision. Thibaut Courtois hasn't cleared his head from that first goal.

    Barcelona 2-0 Chelsea (agg: 3-1)

    Charlie Adam
Stoke City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Barcelona didn't need to score tonight but they've got the class and they've got the swagger.

They would never have taken a 0-0 when somebody is on their patch they want to go and win the game.

  16. Costa goes in on Contepublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

Ex-Chelsea striker Diego Costa is not a fan of Blues boss Antonio Conte and he can't make it more clearer than this.

The Atletico Madrid striker has put the line-up for today's game on his Instagram story, but look at what he did to Conte's name.

    Brutal.

Olorunda T: Chelsea have stood toe to toe with Barcelona over the two legs in this tie the only difference so far has been Lionel Messi.

Constance F: Chelsea 2 down at half time entirely because of their own faults. Conte has to go tonight. The club needs to act before we end up like Arsenal.

Matt H: Barca constantly playacting and wanting their fellow professionals booked sure does overshadow the wonderful football they play.

  18. 'Chelsea have to believe'published at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

Chelsea somehow have to believe that they are still in this. They have to take heart from what we saw last week at Wembley with Juventus who weren't in the game at all until they scored.

If they get one the mighty Barcelona might start to doubt themselves. Antonio Conte has to go for it and Chelsea have to be brave if they are going to get back into it.

Joe: This is probably the best half of attacking football I've seen from Chelsea all season. We look so dangerous! Shame we are playing a side who can finish their chances.

Paul C: It's a shame Alvaro Morata is lacking in form and confidence Olivier Giroud is simply not good enough.

Pritesh S: Just one question, why don't we play this type of football week in and week out?

  20. 'Agonising for Chelsea'published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

So, so close from Marcos Alonso he got the pace on it and Marc-Andre ter Stegen couldn't get close to it. That's agonising for Chelsea.

They have had their chances in the first half. I think Chelsea have performed well but if you make mistakes at this level you get found out.
