Manchester United were knocked out of this competition with a whimper, following a shambolic performance against Sevilla.

Two goals from substitute Wissam Ben Yedder saw he La Liga side go through.

After posing little threat in the goalless first leg, United again looked second best against the La Liga side, though Marouane Fellaini's thumping effort did draw Sergio Rico into a save and the away goalkeeper kept out Jesse Lingard's low strike.

Romelu Lukaku lashed home from close range with seven minutes remaining, but it proved to be merely a consolation.

We'll focus our attentions on Barcelona-Chelsea a little later.

But first, let's just reflect on events that took place last night.

Besiktas 0-2 Bayern Munich (agg 0-7)

In the 17:00 GMT kick-off, Bayern Munich already held a rather comfortable 5-0 lead over Besiktas before tonight's second leg in Istanbul.

The Turkish side started strongly but Bayern have extended their advantage thanks to Thiago's 18th-minute strike, tapping in a Thomas Muller cross from close range and an own goal early in the second half.

Barring some sort of crazy comeback, the German champions are headed for their seventh successive Champions League quarter-final.

Wouldn't fancy them in Friday's draw.

    Five years later...

"Breathtaking from Ronaldinho. You just did not see it coming. In the blink of an eye it was in the back of the net. Petr Cech did not move."

    In 2009...

"It's Iniestaaaaaaa. The Chelsea fans cover their eyes in horror. It's heartbreak at Stamford Bridge."

    And famously in 2012...

"He's in, he's in. Fernando Torres. Ohhhhhhhhghghghghg. Un-be-lieveable."
