I think that is why Andre Gray has not had as many chances in the team as he would have wanted. He is not clinical enough in front of goal.

I would go as far as to say you can't trust him in front of goal. He gets massive opportunities in front of goal and often squanders them.

    Tottenham 1-0 Watford

Harry Kane knocks it on for Son Heung-min and the striker slips it past Craig Cathcart, encouraging a foot race.

Son almost wins it but Cathcart recovers well to get his foot in and steal the ball away just in time.

    Positive stuff from Son!

  3. 'Spurs can rely on Dierpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 30 April 2018

    Tottenham 1-0 Watford

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

A lot of people get frustrated with Eric Dier, by how slow he plays. They think he should speed the play up. Can he play in the midfield position, is he mobile enough? But he is ever present, someone you can rely on.

  4. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Watford

Eric Dier's sloppy shot is intercepted by Etienne Capoue and the midfielder slips it into Andre Gray.

The pass is perfectly weighted and Gray doesn't even need to take a touch before shooting but it's straight at Hugo Lloris.

  5. Postpublished at 25 mins

Jose Holebas tries to take on Kieran Trippier but he barely gets a yard before the England defender slides in and pokes it away.

    Excellent tackle.

Terrible error from the keeper, but that's a great ball in from Trippier, and very composed from Dele. Game on!

Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min combine nicely on the edge of the box before Eric Dier shoots from distance.

It's always rising and it doesn't test the Watford keeper.

Darren: Oh yes Dele, legend. Do it for your country, do it for your team. And chalk up another Eriksen assist.#Fortnitecelebration

Stuart: Game over. Would be better for Watford if the ref wrapped it up now.

  10. Postpublished at 20 mins

Kieran Trippier has had to run off and change his boots after he is caught by an opponent. He looked uncomfortable as he went off but he seems OK now.

Dele Alli opened the scoring for Spurs in their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United...

But they allowed their lead to slip. Can Watford get themselves back into the game before half-time?

    Tottenham 1-0 Watford

An absolute gift. It really is. From the keeper coming out it was an easy one to collect. Christian Kabasele jumps in front of him but he should be saving that.

  15. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Watfordpublished at 16 mins

    Dele Alli

Kieran Trippier swings an excellent ball into the box but it should be a comfortable save from Orestis Karnezis.

Instead, the Watford keeper spills it and Christian Eriksen jabs the ball away, putting it on a plate for Dele Alli to fire into the back of the net.

Richarlison finds himself in space in the box - just a few yards out from the goal - but he slips as he tries to play it into Andre Gray.

It was a lovely reverse pass from Will Hughes to start the move.
