Tottenham's last game was their 2-1 semi-final defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup at Wembley, meaning they have lost two matches at their home stadium in a row - as many as they had in their previous 42.

They've not lost three in a row at home since November 2004 and will be keen to bounce back from their cup exit with victory over Watford.

Spurs were heavily criticised following that cup defeat because they have not won a trophy since 2008 and have now lost eight successive times in the last four of the FA Cup - twice under Mauricio Pochettino.

They also led Juventus 3-2 in their last-16 tie in the Champions League in March but conceded two goals in three second-half minutes before being knocked out of the competition.

Their sole aim is now qualification for the Champions League - and a victory in the Premier League this evening would help to secure that.

Tottenham will assess the fitness of Danny Rose, who has missed three games with a calf injury.

Harry Winks remains out with a long-term ankle problem.

Watford may have Gerard Deulofeu available again after a throat infection, but Roberto Pereyra is a doubt with a groin problem.

Nathaniel Chalobah is back in training but unlikely to feature, while Younes Kaboul, Tom Cleverley, and Stefano Okaka all remain sidelined.
