Like I put in my introduction, Manchester City have been 3-0 down before and won.

Have a watch of the highlights from one of the best FA Cup comebacks when City beat Tottenham 4-3 back in 2004 in the video below.

They got those four goals in just 45 minutes as well.

Have they given up already? City clearly out to create an atmosphere tonight as they try and turn over a three goal deficit. It’s the fourth time this season the two clubs have faced each other but this time Manchester City start the game three goals down.Is the white flag a sign of surrender? Only joking! There are blue flags as well and every seat has one apart from in the away end.

Liverpool took a firm grip on their Champions League quarter-final as Manchester City were torn apart by a three-goal burst from Jurgen Klopp's side in the first 31 minutes at Anfield.

City's suffered a 4-3 loss at Anfield in January and they were made to suffer once more in the face of Liverpool's pressing, aggression and potent attack.

Mohamed Salah pounced in the area to score his 38th goal of the season after 12 minutes and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled their lead eight minutes later when he unleashed a fierce shot past Ederson from 20 yards.

And the third goal that gives Liverpool such a commanding advantage to take to Etihad Stadium next Tuesday came just after the half-hour when Sadio Mane rose to head home Salah's cross.

    Hello!

If anyone has found themselves falling out of love with football lately, just have a look back at some of the absolutely belting games we've had this last week.

Cristiano Ronaldo's stunner last Tuesday kicked things off before Liverpool's shock 3-0 win against Manchester City in the first leg of this tie.

Then there was Manchester United's comeback from 2-0 down to beat City 3-2. Heck, these games have reinvigorated my love of football so much that I even enjoyed the 1-1 draw between Brighton and Huddersfield on Saturday.

I'll be utterly amazed if tonight's game doesn't deliver as well.

  5. Spirit of 2004 needed?published at 18:00 British Summer Time 10 April 2018

"We're 3-0 down and a man down... where's the nearest jobcentre?"

No, that's not Pep Guardiola thinking of popping down to see if there are any jobs going in Manchester but rather the words Kevin Keegan.

That's what the former England boss once said to his assistant manager Derek Fazackerley when he was in charge of Manchester City back in 2004. His side were losing 3-0 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay to Tottenham at half time.

"It was the Cup tie of my lifetime, really," said Keegan. "At half time we were playing for pride ... and looking for a miracle."

The miracle did arrive as his side scored four goals in 45 second-half minutes to progress.

Will City invoke the spirit of King Kev's 2004 side tonight?
