  1. City cruising but Yaya has not read the scriptpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 9 May 2018

    Man City 3-1 Brighton

    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

Yaya Toure touches and Brighton heat mapImage source, BBC Sport

Shooting chances have been few and far between for Yaya Toure tonight, as you can see from his touch map on the left, so there was a bit of excitement in the crowd when he stood over a free-kick about 25 yards from goal just now... and good-natured boos when he then ran over the ball.

Toure is actually yet to have a pop at goal - has he not seen tonight's script, which sees him bend one into the top corner before being subbed off and replaced by Phil Foden, who is less than half his age, a bit like when Captain Kirk handed over the keys of the Enterprise to Captain Jean-Luc Picard (who is a Huddersfield fan by the way)., external

Meanwhile, Brighton's heat map (right) has not changed a lot since the break and, following that third City goal, you get the feeling that it is going to take a plot straight out of a science fiction film for them to get something out of this game now.

    Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It has been all hands on deck for Huddersfield since Chelsea scored. I don't think they have got out of their own 18-yard box in the last 10 minutes. But they are still hanging in there.

    Fernandinho (72 mins)

No goal for Yaya yet but that's a nice one from Fernandinho. City take a quick corner, Leroy Sane cuts it back and the Brazilian slots home left footed...

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 9 May 2018

    Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield

    What a scramble!

That is pure footballing poetry, to certain eyes. I love it.

Chelsea have a corner, it's not cleared, there's a swing and a miss, men diving on grenades, a ball back in, headed back across goal and then an amazing fingertip save onto the post!

    OUTSTANDING

    Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Huddersfield are sat so deep behind the ball, and the moment they get it, they are playing hoof-ball. They are just booting it up field but no one is there to chase it.

    Leicester 2-1 Arsenal

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

  19. IF it stays like this...published at 21:22 British Summer Time 9 May 2018

    Huddersfield will be safe.

Chelsea will need Liverpool to lose at home to Brighton to have any chance of finishing in the top four.
