I am surprised by how Uruguay are playing. They could pass the ball around at the back for the last five minutes as there is no pressure from Saudi Arabia at all. They are not pressing, just standing.

Uruguay will be tough to beat in this tournament. They play with two banks of four, Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez are very good defenders, the full-backs, Guillermo Varela and Martin Caceres tuck in tight.

I do fancy them in this tournament, they've got a lot of good players with a lot of experience, and for a lot of them it could be their last chance at a World Cup.

Edinson Cavani bulldozes his way through the centre of the Saudi Arabia backline and forces goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais into a fine save low to his left.

Saudi Arabia are not going to get back in the game sitting so deep and not putting Uruguay under pressure at all.

I don't see it coming unless they are going to go for it in the last seven minutes.

Talking of Boca Juniors, their former player Rodrido Bentancur, now of Juventus, has made more passes (71) than any other team-mate.

The 20-year-old is an absolute baller.

A Uruguayan change sees Carlos Sanchez replaced by Nahitan Nandez of Boca Juniors.

Arsenal target Lucas Torreira darts in from the left and smacks a shot - which going way off target - but Edinson Cavani flicks a head onto it.

The ball wrong-foots goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais, but luckily for Saudi, drifts just wide of the post.

Jonathan Jones: Watching Uruguay in this tournament is like suffering through England games peak Capello. Dire stuff.

Carlos Sanchez has another free-kick which skips all the way through the forest of legs to Martin Caceres at the back post, but the Uruguay defender's acrobatic effort is blocked by his own team-mate.

Caceres was offside anyway.

It's been slim pickings in terms of goalmouth action in this game.

Carlos Sanchez should have doubled Uruguay's lead earlier in the half though.

Saudi Arabia look like a team that love to keep possession in that middle third of the pitch. In terms of keeping possession and not doing anything with it - they might just be the best team in the competition.

Change for the Saudis.
