Uruguay aren't entertainers - you wouldn't get your popcorn out to watch them. They know if they can stay compact and don't concede - their two world-class strikers can get them a goal to win it.

Game and it looks like tournament over for Saudi Arabia's Taiseer Aljassam.

He trots off the pitch and takes his place on the bench but there is no Saudi player ready to come on.

Oh dear.

Saudi Arabia have given a good account of themselves so far.

Saudi Arabia fans may well be worried. Their side have never won a World Cup game when they have conceded the first goal. When that's happened their record reads lost nine, drawn two.

Ouch.

It's been similar as the first game from Uruguay for me - they've been pretty poor. They're dropping really, really deep.

I'd like to see a bit more ambition from them, I'd like to see them get better balls in to the strikers and then support them - because they're the ones who will win them games.

Luis Suarez is now the only Uruguayan in history to score at three World Cups.

The Barcelona man has also been involved in eight of his country's last 15 goals at the World Cup, scoring six and making two. He's somewhat key it seems.

Salem Aldawsari, 30 yards out, beats a Uruguay defender but then smashes a strike over the crossbar.

Ambitious to say the least.

Saudi Arabia lacking in quality at the back, in the middle and up top.

Mohammed Alburayk breaks from defence, but his cross from the right goes all the way across the pitch for a throw-in at the other end.

He would have scored much more spectacular goals in his 100 appearances but they all count.
