    Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender on BBC One

Luis Suarez could have a terrible game but he'll always make himself a nuisance for the centre-halves. Even if he's not scoring himself his nuisance can create space for others.

Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez are the best defensive partnership at the tournament. They play at Atletico Madrid together and they're competitive, pacey and aggressive, and they play as a partnership rather than as individuals.

How VAR works for commentatorsImage source, .

In the TV commentary positions there are two monitors. One shows the game as you see it at home, while the other is set to 'CIS' (Commentators' Information Service).

For most of the time, this just shows a graphic of the team line-ups and it updates to indicate goalscorers, yellow cards and substitutions.

At this World Cup, the VAR is an additional feature.

Once it's been indicated that the referee and VAR are having a look at something, a yellow highlighted message appears at the bottom of the CIS.

If no review is necessary then "check complete" appears highlighted in green.

If the check then turns into an official review - with the VAR signal having been made by the referee - the yellow CIS message turns red and indicates (or is supposed to!) what the review is for. It's worked pretty well so far.

  8. 'Suarez looked heavy'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Didier Drogba
Phoenix Rising and former Ivory Coast striker on BBC One

Edinson Cavani looked really mobile and fresh in the first game, compared to Luis Suarez who looked a bit heavy. But I'm expecting Suarez to come back into it today, he's the kind of striker who can look like he's having a bad day, and then score a goal or two.

  10. 'No excuses for Uruguay today'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

Uruguay v Saudi Arabia (16:00 BST)

    Cesc Fabregas
Chelsea and Spain midfielder on BBC One

There are no excuses for Uruguay today. They don't play pretty football, they're a typical South American team, but they know what they have to do. They play a simple 4-4-2, with two world-class strikers [Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez], who both have a big job to do today.

Oscar Tabarez shuffles his Uruguay pack a little, with two changes from that late, late win over Egypt.

Both come in midfield as Nahitan Nandez and Giorgian De Arrascaeta drop to the bench. Carlos Sanchez - who plays his football in Mexico - and Cristian Rodriguez - who plays for Penarol in Uruguay - are in.

Remember a Uruguay win sees them into the knockout stages for a third World Cup in a row.

Uruguay: Muslera, Varela, Gimenez, Godin, Caceres, Sanchez, Vecino, Bentancur, Rodriguez, Suarez, Cavani.

    Saudi ArabiaImage source, .

Saudi Arabia's four changes point to coach Juan Antonio Pizzi being not best pleased with a 5-0 opening-night hammering against Russia.

Goalkeeper Abdullah Almuaiouf is one of the men left out, meaning Mohammed Al Owais comes in. Elsewhere, Ali Albulayhi comes into a back four, while Hatan Bahbri moves into midfield and Fahad Almuwallad is in to lead the attack.

Pizzi has talked of a "feeling of shame" in the wake of their Russian nightmare. Expect his side to come out fighting.

Saudi Arabia: Al-Owais, Al-Breik, Osama Hawsawi, Al Bulaihi, Al-Shahrani, Bahbir, Al-Faraj, Otayf, Al-Jassam, Al Dawsari, Al-Muwallad.

Saudi Arabia are on an 11-game winless run at the World Cup finals (drawn two, lost nine) dating back 24 years.

  19. Saudi plane lands safely after scarepublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

Uruguay v Saudi Arabia (16:00 BST)

Saudi Arabia suffered a scare but players and officials arrived safely in Rostov-on-Don for their match with Uruguay after an engine on their plane caught fire.

Saudi Arabia were beaten heavily by hosts Russia in the opening game of the tournament last week.

A Saudi Arabia statement said: "All the Saudi national team players have arrived safely and currently are staying in their residence.

"The fire was merely an accident."
