Australia coach Bert van Marwijk has previous when it comes to the World Cup - he took the Netherlands to the 2010 final in South Africa, where they lost to Spain.

It looks like his side will be pragmatic today. The opening five minutes have seen them show minimal ambition. France try to break quickly after an Aussie throw deep in their half. The move ends with Antoine Griezmann shooting from 25 yards but Mat Ryan dives and holds. That's three saves in six minutes for him.

This is the point where I tell you I have a few quid on Kylian Mbappe to be top scorer in the tournament. He looks lively which is making me feel great I can tell you.

He's brought down on the edge of the box. Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann line up the strike. It will be the Manchester United man and it's an easy take for Mat Ryan.

Mike: France front 3 worth 1/2 billion!

Kyle: France are my tip to win the World Cup. They have such great strength in depth. Their front 3 are formidable. Dembele, Griezmann and Mbappe are fantastic as are Tolisso and Pogba in midfield. They will be great to watch this tournament.

We nearly have a goal already. Kylian Mbappe gets the run on the Australia defence and closes down on goal from the right side, forcing Mat Ryan to tip around the near post. Good chance.

Bert van Marwijk has got great experience, he sets Australia up a certain way. He is worried about space in behind the two centre-backs with the front three of France so they'll play deeper.

They are a young inexperienced side, but they have spirit and camaraderie.

His personality is his biggest asset.

In the second half of the Manchester Derby, that was Paul Pogba at his best, in this World Cup need to see that.

We need to see that consistently. The France set-up suits him better. it's made for him, this type of tournament.

    France v Australia (11:00 BST)

    Didier Drogba
Phoenix Rising and former Ivory Coast striker

I think France have a very good team. I see them going quite far, semi-finals, quarter-finals maybe. They got to the finals of Euro 2016, it was a good experience, bad because they lost but they can learn and progress.
