What a chance for Farfan. Peru have created two or three big opportunities and they should be level, but Denmark are holding on.

Afterburners from my man Andre Carrillo. He looks quick enough to hurt many a full-back. I like him. He simply blows his man away and cuts the ball back for Jefferson Farfan who shoots first time from 12 yards. Blocked in the goal mouth, a real chance.

Farfan will go off. That was his 32nd touch of the day. He's not made the impact he would have wanted to and will be seeing that chance when he closes his eyes tonight.

Nicolai Jorgensen finds shooting space 18 yards out and Peru are scrambling here. He hits left footed and Luis Advíncula makes a super block with an out-stretched leg.

Peter: Peru are going for it and it looks like they are going to create quite a few chances before the game is out. Tense.

Great improvisation from Guerrero. The ball drops at his feet and Schmeichel looked like he has trouble getting over. He's had an impact since he's come on.

You can't get much closer than this and who wouldn't dream of scoring with a back heel at the World Cup.

Once again, Andre Carrillo is a right handful as he races down the right. He finds Christian Cueva in the box and his shot deflects to Paolo Guerrero some eight yards out. Back to goal, he goes for the audacious back heel and it trickles wide with Kasper Schmeichel sprawling and probably beaten had it been on target.

The game largely being played in the Denmark half now. The European side are in a 4-4-1-1 shape when they don't have the ball as they look to contain at all costs.

How costly does this look now?

If you're just joining us, Peru missed a penalty - awarded by the VAR official - just on the stroke of half-time. They've paid for it, though they are now pressing to level.

You can't say Peru have gone under since going behind. They've gone close several times and here's one example.

Carillo and Advincula have been great on either wing. It's a weak shot with his left foot, he probably should have crossed it.

Peru still believe they can get something out of this game, they have upped the tempo in the last 15-20 minutes.

Luis Advíncula cuts in from the right and curls left footed, easily held.
