  5. Is everyone feeling positive?published at 17:18 British Summer Time 18 June 2018

    Tunisia v England (19:00 BST)

Feeling nervous? You're not alone. Still, rest assured that a World Cup winner is positive that England are going to perform this time...

England's 1966 hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst says: "Let’s be fair it’s got to be better, we need it to get better because we’ve had two tournaments where in Brazil, we had two games and we were out, and then the Iceland defeat at Euro 2016 - I mean I’ve never seen a game like that.

"We’ve got a young team but I’m optimistic. Hopefully the spirit’s good and they perform well - we want to see them perform well and good results. So I’m optimistic - I can’t think any other way.

"It’s not for us to be negative about the squad as a player and a person, I’m not going to go with any negativity, and I think we’ll do well.”

How interested are you in tonight's England - Tunisia World Cup game?

Many will be seeking out their local big screen or joining others at the pub to share in the hopes, dreams and frustrations as the nation's team begin their campaign.

But some are more hopeful than others:

  7. What have Tunisia got?published at 17:14 British Summer Time 18 June 2018

If we've learned one thing from the opening few days of this World Cup it's that (repeat after me):

THERE ARE NO EASY GAMES AT THIS LEVEL.

    Nabil MaaloulImage source, Getty Images

Tunisia coach Nabil Maaloul said in May he is yet to decide which formation to play in Russia, with 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 both possibilities, but he believes “imposing our style” on Tunisia’s Group G rivals is their greatest chance of success.

Maaloul’s take on 4-3-3, which he calls his “normal concept”, is typically facilitated with one midfielder sitting in a destructive defensive role alongside two box-to-box operators, allowing the full-backs to attack. However, Maaloul has warned “our tactical conception may evolve” and against England, a more pragmatic 4-2-3-1 may be seen.
