BBC Sport at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium
The only place the sun is shining in Nizhny Novgorod right now is on the hundreds of Uruguay flags being paraded around the stadium – rain is forecast, and we’ve already had a few spots.
The South Americans outnumbered French fans around the city earlier too – and most of them were easy to spot. This is the World Cup of wigs, after all.
Even with Edinson Cavani’s involvement in serious doubt, they all seemed pretty upbeat too. Maybe because Uruguay have won every game in Russia so far?
“We are cautiously confident,” said Andreas, from Punta del Este. “We are realistic - without Cavani it is not the same but we have a good team too – but we have all been here for a month, thinking match by match, and now we are only thinking about France, not beyond today’s game.”

Uruguay's in-form striker Edinson Cavani is expected to miss this match with the calf injury he suffered in their win over Portugal.
Former Middlesbrough forward Cristhian Stuani is expected to be drafted in to play alongside Luis Suarez.
Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez refused to confirm whether Cavani would play, and instead pleaded for patience.
"I think we have given enough information about Cavani's injury. We have said what happened exactly and we have given documents to the press."

France coach Didier Deschamps must decide who replaces the suspended Blaise Matuidi in midfield.
Corentin Tolisso appears to be the front runner, having started their opening match against Australia.

We're back in business!
After two interminable 'rest days' which dragged on with no football at all, we are into the quarter-finals.
I know, I know. It was a tough slog. Some of you had to talk to your family, do some washing.
Normal life returned. And it was rubbish.
But in 90 minutes' time we'll see Kylian Mbappe tearing down the wing. Before probably being clotheslined by Diego Godin.
All is right with the world again...
