Jordan Pickford has a case of the Joe Harts at the moment, very, very animated, flustered. He throws the ball clean out of play. Game management needed.

Great to see England get the goal but they need to keep their heads on for the rest of the game, and not think about the semis.

I don't think I've seen a single defender beat Harry Maguire in the air all World Cup. He's been superb. That's his first goal for England, he may never get a more important one.

Simon: What a thumping header by Maguire!

Alix: It wasn't the Harry this country needs, but it was the Harry we deserved! C'MON ENGLAND!

Femi: Question for Sweden. How do they answer it?

Now the game changes. Sweden have to come out more after falling behind - and have they got the firepower to trouble England. Great header from Harry Maguire, who has improved throughout this World Cup.

So England are a clean sheet away from a World Cup semi-final. They haven't kept one yet in the tournament, mind.

I couldn't be happier for a player - you see his route into the game but all the big clubs will be chasing him when this tournament is over.

His presence in the team is almost as big as the Bobby Moore statute outside Wembley.

Well the man mountain again. Look at his power. That's my ball, nobody else is getting that. He flies through the air. Outstanding.

It shows England are becoming set-piece specialists. They went zonal but you can't give him that kind of space.

    Chris Waddle

Harry Maguire and John Stones have won every header in both boxes during this tournament. Nobody goes with him and he just spins around the back.

It's a great header into the ground and the keeper has absolutely no chance. England have shown when they move the ball quicker they will get chances.

GOAL - Sweden 0-1 Englandpublished at 31 mins

    Harry Maguire

I refer you to my post at 14:17!

He was always going to score today, I just had a feeling, and that is some header from Harry Maguire!

Ashley Young's corner is whipped in, Maguire just wants it more than anyone else and thumps a low header down and in!

England rewarded for a good little spell.

Better - Raheem Sterling gets the ball in space for once and feeds Ashley Young, his cross is well cleared away, it comes back in and Kieran Trippier nods it across, well cleared again.

England the better side, if not that convincing yet.

I don't understand Dele Alli's role in this side. Very rarely on the ball, and it's always Sterling or Lingard dropping back to receive the ball. Game seems to be passing him by.

Dele Alli keeps giving the ball away and he's got to stop doing that. Someone has to get in his ear. Sweden's system forces you to play well to get in between their lines. They'll scrap and battle for every ball. They don't really want the ball.

Alli has only completed six of his 13 passes
