Jordan Willis scored from 20 yards and Jordan Shipley added deflected second for Coventry

That was a glorious finish, a curling shot, that surely wraps it up for Exeter now. Mark Robins is imploring his team to be professional now and see the job through - it's not done yet.
Jack Grimmer
Wow. You think the first two Coventry goals were good, wait till you see this.
Marc McNulty holds the ball up in the box before playing a short pass right to the feet of Jack Grimmer, who curls in from the edge of the box past Exeter keeper Christy Pym, who's never stopping that in a million years.
Coventry City are surely on their way back to the third tier.

The body language of Dean Moxey and Lloyd James wasn't good when they came off - I think that's because of how the game has gone. Exeter wanted to be strong down the left but they've not really created anything.

Kimberley James: Regardless of whether Exeter win or lose this afternoon, Steve Perryman will be sorely missed. From the trip to Old Trafford, to the numerous Wembley visits, he has left an indelible mark on the club.

We’ve heard a lot about Exeter’s brilliant academy - they’ve sold Ethan Ampadu and Ollie Watkins for seven-figure fees in the past year - but Coventry’s isn't too bad either.
Both Jordan Willis and Jordan Shipley came through the Sky Blues' youth system, along with five others in their squad today.

A double substitution from Exeter. A throw of the dice by Paul Tisdale?
Craig Woodman is replaced by Lloyd James, while Matt Jay comes on for Dean Moxey.
Coventry 2-0 Exeter
Exeter are doing their best to get back into this game. A corner falls at the far post and Coventry clear their lines - just about - for another corner, which ultimately comes to nothing.
At the other end, goalscorer Jordan Shipley breaks on the counter and tries an audacious long-range effort from about 40 yards out which sails just past the right-hand upright.

The excitement among the Coventry City fans is palpable now with those two goals in such quick succession.
The first one - what a strike and what a goal. It was Jordan Willis' first touch, to cushion the ball exactly as he wanted before he let rip with his right boot, that was so impressive. We've seen some great Sky Blues goals at Wembley over the years and that is right up there.
We had an ex-Sky Blue (Richard Wood) grabbing both of Rotherham's goals yesterday - could another two Sky Blues decide today's game?

Jordan Shipley runs one way, Marc McNulty the other in celebration. It's a very good strike but it took a wicked deflection - but it's disappointing that Exeter City didn't respond to going 1-0 down.
They gave possession away so cheaply in the build-up to that goal.
Jordan Shipley
The Coventry City train looks like it's heading full speed to Promotionville after being stuck in the middle of nowhere for about 51 years without a rail replacement bus service in sight.
Jordan Shipley gets onto a pass from Marc McNulty and thunders a deflected effort from outside the box past a diving Christy Pym and 40,000 Sky Blues fans are going nuts.
Two goals in five minutes and Coventry have got a firm grasp on this final.

Max Biamou comes off for Coventry and he must have been carrying an injury.
He's replaced by Jonson Clarke-Harris.

I was just thinking exactly what I though in the first half - Exeter are sitting too deep.
Every time the ball goes back, you have to squeeze the game, otherwise the gap between the defenders and the midfield becomes too deep and that gives Coventry so much space in dangerous areas to do things like that.
Credit to Jordan Willis for the twisting and turning in the build-up to that good strike.
Jordan Willis
What a goal.
Coventry have gone for it since the restart and they've been handsomely rewarded. Jordan Willis, who started his career with the Sky Blues' academy, turns and shoots from just outside the box and curls home past Exeter keeper Christy Pym.
Coventry 0-0 Exeter
Tom Bayliss does well to hold the ball up in the box and tees up his Coventry team-mate Marc McNulty, who fires at the near post from close range but Christy Pym palms it away.
Good stuff from the Sky Blues.

Exeter get us back under way at Wembley. A big 45 minutes to follow for each side.

Think back to this time last year.
Exeter were drawing at half-time of a League Two play-off final against Blackpool - another team looking to return to the third tier at the first time of asking.
In 2017 Paul Tisdale’s side lost 2-1... what can they do differently this time?

It’s tension with a capital T.
Coventry haven’t played particularly well but neither have Exeter.
Coventry’s sloppy passing has been a feature of that 45 minutes, while Exeter seem to have won the majority of second balls.
Inspiration to go with the perspiration desperately required.

A word for this man, who will be retiring after today's play-off final.
Former Tottenham defender Steve Perryman will vacate his role as Exeter's director of football after 15 years in the job.
During that time, Exeter have produced millions of pounds worth of young talent and re-established themselves as a Football League club.
Can the Grecians create the perfect send-off for Perryman by winning promotion?
