Marco Silva to BBC Sport: "First some words to Leicester, we don't know yet the situation, but all thoughts stay with them and their families."

On the match: "We deserved more than the result we achieved. It was a balanced match, some moments they create problems for us like is normal.

"It was not a penalty, clear the player dived, it leaves a bad sensation. I told the players at half-time it was not a fair result."

Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "We started well, the second-half we played even better than we did in the first-half. We had great control of game, quality, creativity, possession, we were solid in defense and did not deserve the last 15 minutes.

"I was pleased with the referee (Jonathan Moss) but he was testing my patience with six minutes of injury time. When you are winning, it is always difficult for my emotions and heart.

"I am happy with the points which we needed. The last three Premier League matches we have had two victories at home and an undeserved point at Stamford Bridge."

On Lukaku: "When he came on he was agile, moving well, holding the ball better than in past weeks."

Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a tough match but we came here to win. It is the only way we work. When the game is balanced in the first 20-35 minutes, the penalty starts to put them ahead in the match and more comfortable.

"That moment, it was no penalty. It was difficult for us. That moment makes it easy for our opponents. You are more exposed then because you have to take more risks. They scored a fantastic goal but we had a good chance to score at 2-1.

"Our one was a clear penalty, not like the first one. The referee is there in that moment and it looks like my player touched the ball. I don't think it is a tough decision. I don't want to talk about it more because I respect the referee.

"One thing is clear is that without that moment, it would have been more tough for them. When you play against Manchester United and in their stadium, they create chances. The referee made things easier for them but we have to shoot better in some situations."

More from Jose Mourinho on Anthony Martial: "He has the same natural talents he had one or two years ago but he is improving the way he thinks of football and improving his role in the team. I am happy with boys who are improving.

"It is difficult periods for them and for me because I want more from them but I am really happy with Anthony.

"Everton is not on paper a top-four side, but they are a team capable of coming here to fight for a result the way they did. Every match is difficult.

"In terms of my approach to my young players, that's the way I am. In the end, you have the rewards of that hard work if they don't give up and they don't have an entourage who supports their weaknesses.

"Luke Shaw was strong and these people were good to him and now Anthony is becoming a better player."

On the penalty: "I think the referee was very good in all the game. He was solid and consistent. In the two penalty actions he was consistent.

"Pogba is a better penalty taker than myself. He has the courage to take it. Luka Milivojevic missed one and he took them today. I admire players who have the courage to take them.

"He wants to take them. Maybe he has to change his approach but I don't want him to change his mental approach. The keeper is also a good penalty saver so lets give credit to him. He showed that in the World Cup."

Paul Pogba to Sky Sports: "We needed to win, we needed points. The last game against Chelsea, we should have won this game, we missed two points. Today we needed to win, needed to come back to top of the league."

On his missed penalty: "I was lucky, the important thing is it went in and I scored the goal, good for us and me. After we carried on and had other chances, most important thing was the win."

On his run-up: "I always try and destabilize the keeper, maybe they know how I take penalties, maybe I should practice to change it, if the keepers know my step."

On Martial: "Nobody is surprised of his performance and talent, he is very young. He showed his 'Martial touch' today."

On build-up to Everton's goal: "Sometimes I have to clear the ball. I always try to improve and play, find solutions, we have the ability to play."

Everton are without a win in their last 30 Premier League away games against the ‘big six’ (D9 L21), since a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford against Manchester United in December 2013.

Everton keeper Jordan Pickford speaking to Sky Sports: "They created chances, we created chances and they got that penalty which was a bit soft.

"We came to Old Trafford and knew what kind of atmosphere we'd get. We came back well and created enough chances.

"We dug in as a group and we nearly got something at the end there. I came up for the corner but it wasn't to be."

On Paul Pogba's penalty: "I know his little trick which is why I saved it. I was unfortunate. You have to go a tad early because he has so much power but unfortunately it just bounced back out.

"I went off my line when he was on his final step really. I didn't get enough parry on it to get it away."

ICYMI - Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick as Barcelona outclassed Real Madrid to seal a stylish El Clasico victory that further damages their bitter rivals and Madrid's stricken manager Julen Lopetegui.

The former Spain boss now seems certain to lose his job in the wake of a humiliating defeat in a match crucial to his chances of survival.

His side conjured something of a revival in the second half but ultimately they were sunk by an irresistible Barca performance, and it now appears only a question of when he will be fired.

Manchester United had the quality of the finishing in areas that Everton are not blessed with. Martial showed why they paid a lot for him at a young age. That is what he is there for, 11 on his back to assist and score goals. They dropped Lukaku, that is the riches they have.

Everton kept going, Pickford kept them in the game, unlucky with the penalty but made some fantastic saves.

Anthony Martial's fine winner sees Manchester United ahead of Everton.
