I think Martial had too much time. Should I put it left? Right? Go around the keeper? Another good save by Pickford, didn't go to ground early. He won that battle with Martial

After being an observer for much of the afternoon, Jose Mourinho is yelling at everyone now.

Either Romelu Lukaku to close down the Everton defenders, or Anthony Martial to get back in position after United lose possession.

Mourinho knows how crucial these three points are.

Jesse Lingard is on for Manchester United in a stoppage-time substitution, some people somewhere must be outraged as that is apparently an issue in the game.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 90+3 mins

    Man Utd 2-1 Everton

Everton are making a mess of this injury time - they lose the ball in midfield and Anthony Martial is played through on goal. One-on-one, the striker waits and waits, but Jordan Pickford makes himself big and makes the save!

Everton keeping the ball but you wouldn't say United were under any real pressure. A bit pedestrian...

SIX minutes added on. For once that sort of added time not appreciated by the majority of the Old Trafford crowd...

Paul Pogba from 25 yards - deflected and into the hands of Jordan Pickford. Almost done for Manchester United, Everton need a moment of magic or another error in the last few minutes...

Good cross from Lucas Digne, well read by David de Gea though who gathers at his near post.

Taylor: That header sums up Lukaku's season so far. Feeble. If Utd bought an out and out goalscorer in Jan they'd do so much better.

Aditya: Lukaku is the upfront version of Smalling

If Manchester United fail to win this game, having played so well, I reckon Paul Pogba will get it right in the neck.

He overplayed 20 yards from his own box to put his team in trouble and now they have to see out a game that looked to be won.

That's a poor header by Lukaku. Good ball from Pogba but that is the form he is in, Lukaku. Jumped and never caught it. That was a chance.

It's two steps forward, one step back for Paul Pogba at the moment. This has been as impressive an attacking display as I've seen from him to be honest, his cross is good but Romelu Lukaku can only head down and wide.

At the other end Richarlison gets free and misues a cross/shot over the top.

In the build-up to that penalty Paul Pogba was guilty of overplaying, showboating almost in midfield. He tried to chip the ball over someone's head and lost it cheaply. Gary Neville, on TV, was not happy.

Chris Smalling needs some treatment after that challenge but he's going to continue by the looks of it.

Steve: Sick of Pogba and his stupid showing off - could cost us this game now

Babyboomer: Pogba showboating. Smalling could have just run alongside him. Childish on 1 hand and par for the course on the other.

Callum: Said before and I'll say it again. Smalling is not good enough for MUFC. What was he thinking?!
