Arsenal are much improved, in my humble opinion. I've been very impressed with how quickly Unai Emery has made an impact on the team.

When you look at Arsenal's stats, they're amazing. But when you watch them they aren't amazing and look open - they can be beaten. It's not like they've been convincing.
There is more belief there compared to the start of the season. Time will tell. We need to see how they continue to progress.
The football gods are with them right now.

"If you want guarantees, buy a washing machine. In football there are no guarantees."
New Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will certainly need to use all his charisma and knowledge to guide the south coast side away from relegation.
In replacing Mark Hughes, he became the first Austrian to manage in the Premier League, but what can Saints fans expect from their new man and how successful will he be?
Southampton v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)
Southampton are winless in their last 14 matches in all competitions – only once have they ever had a longer run (20 games in March 1989).
Arsenal have lost just two of their last 17 games against Southampton in the Premier League (W9 D6), with both of those defeats coming in 2015 with Ronald Koeman in charge of the Saints.

Maurizio Sarri is giving N'Golo Kante more opportunity to go forward and he's getting a lot more opportunities in the opposition penalty area.
He's getting in advanced positions and having an influence in the Chelsea attack. He's running off the shoulder of defenders - we've become accustomed to him stopping players but we're seeing a different side to him now in a much more advanced position.

Well, not me, but new Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, who has sent free drinks vouchers to season ticket holders ahead of today's game at St Mary's.

You'll be able to follow two games on BBC Radio 5 live today as there will be live commentary on both Southampton's home game against Arsenal (13:30 GMT) plus the big game at Anfield as Liverpool host Manchester United (16:00 GMT).
Interesting Sean. He won't be a bargain, I don't think, if he does leave.

Sean Turner: The longer he's out of the side, the more I think Mesut Ozil will be in the Arsenal shop window for the January Sales.
Southampton v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)
Southampton make two changes to the side that lost 1-0 at Cardiff last week, with Ralph Hasenhuttl bringing in Maya Yoshida and Danny Ings for his first home game as Saints manager.
Ings has a chance to impress the new boss after the striker missed the last five games while Yoshida returns after being left out at Cardiff. Mario Lemina and Charlie Austin are the men to make way.
Southampton: McCarthy, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Yoshida, Valery, Hojbjerg, Romeu, Targett, Redmond, Armstrong, Ings.
Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny not only makes his first Premier League appearance since April but has been handed the captain's armband. After making his first appearance of the season in the Europa League in midweek, the France international comes into the Gunners' defence with Nacho Monreal.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi also come into the starting XI, with Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi, Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette dropping out from the side that beat Huddersfield last week. Kolasinac has a thigh injury.
Arsenal: Leno, Bellerin, Lichtsteiner, Koscielny, Monreal, Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Aubameyang.
Brighton v Chelsea (13:30 GMT)
Brighton welcome back top scorer Glenn Murray to the starting line-up, after the veteran shook off a shoulder injury.
Brighton: Ryan, Montoya, Balogun, Dunk, Bernardo, Gross, Stephens, Propper, Knockaert, Murray, March.
Subs: Saltor, Bong, Kayal, Bissouma, Locadia, Andone, Steele.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri sticks with the same side that beat Manchester City 2-0 last Saturday.
Striker Alvaro Morata misses out altogether, after suffering a knee injury against MOL Vidi in their midweek Europa League encounter.
Chelsea: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Hazard, Willian.
Subs: Fabregas, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Caballero, Giroud, Christensen, Emerson Palmieri.

Chelsea
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri: "In Napoli I was used to playing with a solution like this [a front three without a traditional number nine]. This is very important for us, to have continuity or it is impossoble to stay in the top four.
"It is important to stay very close to the top four. I want to see continuity from the mental point of view and the tactical point of view. We need to get 80 points to get into the top four."

Friendly reminder that it’s pronounced Haaa-zen-hüttl rather than HaSSen-hüttl as the latter translates to Austrian people as “little hut of hate” rather than “little hut for hares” as it should be
Southampton v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)
It's always good to see a player make a return from a serious injury but it seems a bit odd that Arsenal would hand Laurent Koscielny two starts in four days after eight months out, doesn't it?
He didn't last the full 90 minutes in a testimonial-paced game on Thursday night.
Watford 3-2 Cardiff
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is rarely one to hold back when it comes to referees but he was particularly furious with Andy Madley after his side's 3-2 defeat at Watford yesterday, labeling the official a 'Sunday trainee'.

You get the best out of Eden Hazard when Olivier Giroud plays, so you have a focal point up front. Even if he is not scoring goals, when you as a midfielder nip the ball round the corner he is there for you.
But Maurizio Sarri likes a false nine like he did at Napoli. If he feel like he is not getting the goals return from Giroud or Alvaro Morata, he will change it.
You need players that have the ability to stay in the box, it is easy to have a lack of discipline. Players like Hazard want to go searching for the ball but there is a skill and art to occupying defenders.

Chelsea to walk over Brighton as they'll be in a great mood after their performance against City. Liverpool to beat United, with Jose going for a pitifully defensive performance!

Liverpool v Man Utd (16:00 GMT)
Don't panic Manchester United fans, that isn't the score (well, not yet anyway). But it is the number of Liverpool players compared to United players in your combined XI.
As you can see it is not really a combined XI at all, with Paul Pogba the Red Devils' sole representative.
Disagree with those selections? Well you can still have a go yourself here.
Southampton v Arsenal (13:30 GMT)
Steve Wilson
Match of the Day commentator
Here is a team that can't win against a side that can't lose.
Arsenal have accrued more wins in the last 22 games than Southampton have managed in the last 22 months - and poor Saints seem to have been in an inexorable decline ever since Ronald Koeman left two and a half years ago.
Ralph Hasenhuttl comes with a CV good enough for Bayern Munich to have once asked about his availability, but the Austrian has precious little time to waste at a club which has badly lost its way.
Almost exactly three years ago, Arsenal were thrashed 4-0 at St Mary's. That's a sobering thought for those examining the current chasm between the sides.
Sorry, JP. Giroud is on the bench.
