    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Naby Keita loses possession sloppily on the right side and Matt Doherty is able to charge up to the edge of the box before his shot is hit straight at Alisson.

Good spell from Wolves this. Liverpool need the half-time whistle to go.

James Milner goes to ground but the ball had already been played and Milner does not take the man out, I don't think it is a penalty.

  3. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

There's gaps in Liverpool's defence and Wolves exploit it. The ball comes out to Raul Jimenez on the left side of the box but he takes too long to shoot and his effort is closed down by several defenders.

Just before that, Matt Doherty clashed with James Milner and Wolves' fans were appealing for a penalty but it looked more like a coming together.

Roberto Firmino to Andy Robertson, to Naby Keita, to Mohamed Salah... but his flick is comfortably picked up by Rui Patricio.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

On Dejan Lovren's comments earlier this week that Liverpool could go unbeaten in the Premier League this season...

When you make that sort of comment you are asking for criticism. Just keep it in house.

They have confidence in the dressing room and I'm sure the players have spoken about it but just keep it to yourselves.

  7. CLOSE!published at 39 mins

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Adama Traore tries to poke it through for Jonny on the edge of the box and he gets a little lucky as it bounces off the inside of James Milner's leg.

Jonny is stretching to reach it so his shot goes straight into Alisson's hands.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Romain Saiss manages to weave his way into the box, beating James Milner and Sadio Mane, but his cut-back from the left doesn't fall kindly to a teammate.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

David Freedman: Liverpool are a super team this season and are the only match for Manchester City. Being a United supporter it kills me to admit it.

Rich Olyott: Wolves need to change their shape here. Getting exposed and overrun.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Matt Doherty plays a driving ball over to the left side for Adama Traore to chase - and he does - but he's flagged offside.

    Tight call!

A bit of rain won't dampen Jurgen's mood - especially as they will definitely be celebrating Christmas Day at the top of the table as it stands.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah link-up nicely through the centre but the flick-on to Sadio Mane only catches him in an offside position.

A ball is then played over the top for Salah and he gets there first but under pressure from Ryan Bennett, his touch isn't as effective as the one which bagged him the goal.

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Richard Cumiskey: Salah is now the top scorer this season in the Premier League and apparently he is a "one season wonder".

Paul Walmsley: Top Premier League goalscorer and apparently he's not at his best...

    Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

That goal hasn't dampened Wolves' energy. They keep pressing high and win a throw-in on the left wing. It's sprayed over to the far side but they are forced back to Conor Coady as Roberto Firmino charges the ball down.
