Christian Eriksen slips Harry Kane in but Neil Etheridge is on his toes. He's quick off his line and closes down the space before diving to his right to get a fingertip to the ball and takes it away from Kane.

Excellent goalkeeping. Could have easily given away a pen.

Junior Hoilett weaves in from the left, creates space for himself to shoot on the edge of the box and curls an effort high over the bar.

Aron Gunnarsson cuts inside from the right and slips it through the legs of Oliver Skipp. The Spurs youngster tries to come back at him with his strength and Dele Alli comes across to cover and clear. Gunnarsson goes to ground and there's huge appeals from the Cardiff players but there was nothing in it.

Christian Eriksen plays a beautiful ball down the line for Dele Alli and the midfielder's touch is exquisite. It takes him past Bruno Manga and he canters into the box. His first shot is blocked - and his second - before Sol Bamba hoofs the ball clear.

Just before that corner kick was taken, Bobby Reid was replaced by Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as Neil Warnock tries to shape things up a little.

Sean Morrison wins the header at the back post and it bounces off Aron Gunnarsson's back and almost bobbles over the line.

Hugo Lloris reacts to get down low to his right and stops it from rolling in.

Junior Hoilett drives at Kieran Trippier and Moussa Sissoko down the left and crosses it into the centre. He gets the cross all wrong but it swings dangerously near the crossbar and Hugo Lloris hooks it over just to be safe.

Sol Bamba is hounded upon by Kieran Trippier and Son Heung-min but the Cardiff centre-back turns into Lionel Messi and fouls both with a neat turn before side-stepping past Dele Alli.

Sexy stuff!

But then Bamba passes it straight to a Spurs player and another counter-attack ends with Son's shot being palmed away by keeper Neil Etheridge.

Son Heung-min drives into the right side of the box. He tries to curl it across the face of the goal but it's half-cleared by Cardiff.

Harry Kane reacts quickest to fire one at goal first time and is first to reach the rebound when it's blocked. But his second effort is also blocked.

Just one touch in the opposition box for Tottenham so far in this second half. A clear improvement from Cardiff.

Cardiff are much more competitive in this second half. They look more solid in midfield and Spurs are being pressed.

Junior Hoilett manages to nick the ball off Davinson Sanchez in the left corner but there's no teammates up with him. Spurs then go up the other end but Harry Kane's shot is skewed way wide.
