This is all rather easy for Tottenham.

When they're not attacking, they're content to pass the ball around in defence, happy to quell what is usually a rumbustious atmosphere inside Cardiff City Stadium.

The hope has been sapped from the home side, who you would imagine might already be allowing their minds to wander towards future matches. Relegation rivals Huddersfield are the next Premier League visitors here on 12 January.

Just missing the 'D' from 'DESK.' Spurs are cruising.

Josh Murphy's ball over the top is aimed at Sol Bamba after a scramble in the box, but the centre-back is caught offside.

A few hundred fans in the Cardiff City Stadium haven't heard the whistle go though and they're getting excited as the ball bounces along the goalline.

They can win a corner. Callum Paterson was coming in at the back post again but it's Dele Alli who heads clear this time.

Just over five minutes away from half-time and Cardiff have not got into this game at all. Bobby Reid attempts to put some pressure on Danny Rose but can only give away a throw-in.

Another Josh Murphy cross from the left towards Callum Paterson is then headed clear by Rose.

Victor Camarasa sees the run of Bobby Reid and feeds him with a nice through-ball into the box. It was tracked all the way though and falls kindly into Hugo Lloris' hands.

Cardiff wont be judged on games against these teams but on teams around them. When they come up the big teams they seem to struggle to get the tactics right.

The ball bounces up onto Sol Bamba's hand but the referee waves play on. Cardiff take advantage with a swift counter-attack down the left. Josh Murphy slips it into the middle, finding the run of Bobby Reid, but the forward is offside and the flag goes up.

Nice play there.

Danny Rose heads the corner clear and Tottenham regain possession. They are completely in control now and kill the tempo slightly with a few passes around the team.

Josh Murphy sits up another cross and Callum Paterson is the target again. And again it's Danny Rose who reaches the ball first.

But Cardiff have a corner.

The jeers for every successful Tottenham pass has begun. It's going to be a long afternoon in Wales.

Before this fixture, Cardiff had lost their previous 14 games against the Premier League’s big six sides and conceded 45 goals in the process, 22 of which had come in their six defeats this season.

You get the impression Spurs might add a few more to that tally tonight.

This is like a trip to Ikea. You go to find something you like and keep finding more. Tottenham are on fire.

They just cant lay a glove on this Tottenham team. Lovely one-touch play involving Kane and Son. That is a wonderful finish from an acute angle.

A ball over the top is beautifully taken down by Christian Eriksen and he holds off Sol Bamba to lay it off to Harry Winks.

Eventually, it's slipped through to Dele Alli but Bamba stands his ground, gets a foot in and wins a goalkick.

Tottenham are just passing it around the back, toying with Cardiff.

Cardiff (average positions map on the left) have been far more advanced but Tottenham have torn them apart on the counter-attack.
