    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

The debate over where he is best played continues, but that's good play from Ngolo Kante high up the park as he frees Willian down the right. The Brazilian cuts inside and has a shot - well charged down.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

Some nice play from youngster Dwight McNeil. It ends with his shot just skimming the left-hand post. Decent chance for Burnley.

  3. ouch!

Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    West Ham 0-0 Brighton

Andy Carroll gets a bash on the head by Lewis Dunk. Bit of a raised elbow too. He needs treating as there's a blood coming out of a nasty cut.

  4. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

Still all Manchester United at St James', they have a free-kick on the left wing. Marcus Rashford lines it up. Shoot from there?

He does shoot, toe-bungs it over the wall but it's an easy enough save for Martin Dubravka at his near post.

  5. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Watford

It's a scrappy start to this game. David Brooks came close with that earlier effort but it's been a possession game for most parts.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Wolves 0-0 Crystal Palace

Willy Boly goes into the book for a, er, industrial challenge on Andros Townsend. Took man, ball, the lot on halfway.

  7. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    West Ham 0-0 Brighton

Aaron Cresswell's cross is well blocked by Martin Montoya but West Ham earn their first corner of the match after 20 minutes.

  8. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United well on top in these early stages but no goalmouth action of note at either end.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

Huddersfield's long throw-in causes problems for Burnley. Alex Pritchard is among those challenging in the box but he ends up blocking a shot from his own teammate. Tom Heaton then makes an excellent save but the whistle had already gone for a foul among all the chaos.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Wolves 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace are absolutely dominating the ball - they've had 71% of the play in fact. And that's the closest we've come to a goal, Luka Milivojevic clips in a shot from the edge of the area and Rui Patricio has to stretch to tip it over the top.

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Watford

Bournemouth build up nicely down the right wing and Joshua King flicks it on for David Brooks, who steps inside onto his left and his curling shot just flicks wide of the post.

  12. Round of applausepublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at John Smith's Stadium

Huddersfield have had three efforts on goal, two were miles wide and the other was easily saved.

On each occasion, manager David Wagner has enthusiastically applauded his team.

The German has continued to insist he has faith in his players. His trying to transmit that onto the pitch in the most visual way he can.

  13. 'Newcastle need to stay in the game'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on Radio 5 live

Salomon Rondon is going to be fighting for the ball for a lot of this game, up against Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof.

The Newcastle players have got to keep this atmosphere up and stay in this game and as long as they do, the more they have a chance.

  14. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

Rafa is already taking notes in the Newcastle dugout. Terrific atmosphere as usual.

  15. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Very solid start from Saints keeper Angus Gunn, again his positioning is spot on as he beats Eden Hazard to a through ball.

At the other end Danny Ings heads over from a good ball in from Cedric Soares.

  16. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on Radio 5 live

This team will look at last season's result here, beating United 1-0 and playing very well.

And they are going to have to produce something like that to get something out of this game tonight.

  17. Postpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

Not much happening in Huddersfield. The hosts are on top slightly and have had a few half-chances but aren't really threatening.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

And we're off in Newcastle, as well as the delayed fixture at Bournemouth.

  19. CLOSE!published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Chance! A good one too, Cesar Azpilicueta launches a long ball right through the middle, Alvaro Morata is onside and free, but he can only feather a very tame header into the gloves of Angus Gunn. No oomph behind that at all.

  20. Postpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    West Ham 0-0 Brighton

The ball is fizzed into Felipe Anderson on the edge of the box. His touch is heavy but it falls kindly for Marko Arnautovic. He then blasts it way over the bar.
