  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle United

Eden Hazard is definitely feeling it, the Belgian finding space to run at the Newcastle defence. It's as if someone has found his 'on' switch. Jorginho goes in the book for a tug of a shirt. Ross Barkley replaces Mateo Kovacic.

Mark: Get this Willian guy off he's rubbish. How often do we hear it?

David: I was about to criticise Willian before he scored

Alan: To be fair to Newcastle, they got all their defenders perfectly lined up so they could watch Willian stroke that one in - nice goal

  3. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle United

Chelsea are readying Ross Barkley to come on. One of their staff has stuck a blue file under his nose. How much can a sub take in as he's getting ready to come on. Most of the time they seem to be looking for their shinpads.

  4. Postpublished at 59 mins

Instantly, it's songs, chants and applause at the Bridge. Eden Hazard fancies it too. Have Newcastle got it in them to come back again?

That is brilliant from the Brazilian. It curled and it bent and it spun.

Chelsea were in need of something special, and William delivers a little sprinkle of magic.

Really good from Willian, who created something out of nothing.

    Willian

Brilliant goal! Willian provides Stamford Bridge with a huge sigh of relief.

The Brazilian is released down the left by Eden Hazard's turn and pass. Willian is on the edge of the box, cuts inside and curls a gorgeous right-footed strike inside the far post. Sublime.

Chance! It's Pedro again, but he scuffs his shot with a clear sight on goal from the penalty spot. Marcos Alonso down the left, but Pedro can't connect properly with the low cross.

Sarri has not got a clue playing our best players out of position just to accommodate Jorginho

    Shaun

Sad to hear Chelsea fans booing their side

    Pete, Newcastle

Exactly why did we spend millions sacking Conte for Sarri when our defence and attack are weaker? Just a fancy midfield maybe?

The crowd are very quick to criticise.

They are looking for Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley and I can see Sarri giving way and putting more exciting players on the field.

Boos and jeers when Jorginho passes the ball out of play. This could turn toxic.

A little spark from Eden Hazard, cutting in from the right, giving the ball and getting it back. But, when the move breaks down, there's more audible frustration from the home fans. How long before Sarri changes things?

Ash: In October everyone was praising Sarri and his style but he doesn’t trust his strikers and prefers to play Hazard out of position. Poor management

Lifa: Jorginho despite his brilliant start has not been involved. He just recycles the ball, loses it now and again. Willian has been poor lately and not dealing with the criticism well but continues to start ahead of Hudson Odoi. Why blame the kid for wanting to leave?

Shane: I wonder if Chelsea fans still feel the same about José Mourinho? I'm just waiting for them to start begging for him to come back.

Chelsea are attacking with more urgency in this second period. Marcos Alonso streaks down the left, only for his cross to be cut out. Having said that, Eden Hazard looks a little lost. There are cheers for Callum Hudson-Odoi when he starts warming up.

Great save! Some faffing in the Newcastle defence sees the ball come to Pedro on the Chelsea right. Low shot, about 18 yards out, Martin Dubravka down low to his right to paw it away.
