We have to ditch this system at half time - not looked like scoring since the route one opener. Hudson-Odoi must replace Willian.

The best football managers are adaptable and change things that are not working. Sarri has not done that at all since taking over at Chelsea. What worked at Napoli isn't working in the premiership. Change is needed.

Are you banking on Hazard to do something for the sake of your fantasy football team? I could do with him staying quiet....

Tor: To use the word peripheral to describe Hazard’s involvement until now is an overstatement. Sarri doesn’t give his best player the best chance to shine

Newcastle were stunned by the early Pedro goal and that long ball should have been cut out by Ciaran Clark.

Newcastle then decide to keep it tight and try to keep it to one goal at half time.

They then got two consecutive corners and Clark who was the villain became the hero.

If Newcastle come and try to win the game and push on, I feel Chelsea with their counter-attacking play can be most effective in the second half.

Boos heard inside Stamford Bridge. To say their is an air of frustration amongst the home fans would be an understatement.

It's incredibly frustrating to be a Chelsea fan right now. Only Luiz and Hazard have a killer pass in them. Jorginho is pointless. Fabregas would own a game like this, we are stupid to let him go

    Dave, London

Chelsea just like under Conte at the moment..soooo slow to move the ball.

Lotak: That was an absolutely brilliant header. Still, would easily be stopped by a man on the post. Will never understand why managers don't put men on the post.

We should reflect on just how good that header from Ciaran Clark was. The leap of an NBA star, neck muscles strong enough to hold up the sky.

The Newcastle defender was sleeping but Willian will be having nightmares after that effort.

    He should have scored.

Before the goal, Rafa Benitez was livid about something. Even after the goal, he's fuming. It might be because Willian is given the freedom of the United box, only to drag his shot wide. Should have scored.

That is a powerful header and Newcastle who have hardly been in the game have somehow got it back on level terms.

There is delirium in the Newcastle end as Ciaran Clark runs over to the fans.

    What about this then?

    Ciaran Clark

Judging on the past couple of minutes, that is no more than Newcastle deserve.

Ciaran Clark equalises for the Magpies, climbing highest from a corner to head into an undefended corner (where was the man on the post).

For all of their dominance of possession, Chelsea have been pegged back.

It's interesting to see a team and their supporters who are used to wining games as the last five visits to Stamford Bridge from Newcastle, they have won comfortably.

There was a groan when Chelsea played the ball wide and square, and the fans want them to play the ball forward.

But there's no big man like Giroud up front to aim at, as they are playing with the false number nine.

Newcastle are seeing miles less of the ball, but it may just be that they are using it more efficiently. Their last three attacks have resulted in action around the Chelsea goal, whereas the Blues are a little ponderous going forwards. A definite change in momentum...

Another Newcastle glimmer. A flick from Salomon Rondon, Ayoze Perez with a smidge of space, but unable to hit the target with the shot. If half-chances are all that Newcastle are going to get, they have to do better with them.

For all their possession, Chelsea haven't done anything with it.

Compared to where Liverpool and Manchester City are at the moment, they are not as sharp or as threatening.

The Pedro goal is the only opening they've created.

Some sustained possession from Chelsea, but Newcastle have the door bolted shut. I'll be honest - bar the goal, which was excellent, this game has been a Saturday night snooze.
