  16. Stubbs hoping Buddies can come goodpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 1 September 2018

Heart of Midlothian v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Alan Stubbs on BBC Radio Scotland: "There have been a lot of changes.

"Fourteen or 15 players were released in the summer. I’ve brought 11 in and sometimes it can take a little bit of time. It’s probably very similar to the situation I had when I walked into Hibernian and had to build a squad.

"I think, if you add in the fact that St Mirren find themselves in the top league, that’s where the have to adjust very quickly."

  17. Levein 'on the mend' - MacPheepublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 1 September 2018

    Hearts v St Mirren (15:00)

After being taken to hospital earlier this week, Hearts boss Craig Levein is "on the mend", according to his assistant Austin MacPhee, who takes the team today.

"Craig came in and saw the players this week and I think it was a really important step for him in his recovery as well," MacPhee said.

"He's set up a brilliant structure at the club as director of football and the way that everybody's worked in his absence this week has shown the quality of his work.

"Senior players we've brought to the club have been very important this week in our preparations. I'm sure Craig will be back really soon."

    Aberdeen v Kilmarnock (15:00)

    Liam McLeod
    BBC Sport Scotland at Pittodrie

Steve Clarke seems content with his transfer dealing as he throws former Aberdeen forward Greg Stewart straight into the fray at Pittodrie.

However, the Killie boss was less keen to discuss his statement about Willie Collum in which he insisted he knew Gary Dicker's appeal against last weeken's red card would fail when he was informed that the referee had been handed tomorrow's derby at Celtic Park.

  19. Robinson 'very happy' with his Motherwell lotpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 1 September 2018

    Dundee v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland he is happy with Motherwell's "quiet" spell in the latter stages of the transfer window.

"It's been quiet," he said. "But we can't compete with a lot of clubs in terms of finances, so we need to do our signings in the summer. We are already looking at January because we need to get our pitch in early.

"We have done our business early and I'm very happy with what we have."

Turning to facing Dundee, Robinson says playing a side without a point brings its own dangers.

"Of course it does," he said. "I saw Dundee at St Johnstone last week and they play some super stuff. I think it's very, very early to be judging any team and I wouldn't say there is any sort of crisis at Dundee at all."

    Livingston v Hibernian (15:00)

    Alasdair Lamont
    BBC Sport Scotland at Almondvale

Livingston boss Gary Holt’s promised the home fans he’ll be trying to win today’s match, not simply trying to avoid defeat against a team he believes are one of the best in the league. Neil Lennon’s anticipating a physical battle this afternoon for his Hibs side and that’s one of the reasons he’s brought in Lewis Allan up front, a player he says deserves a chance and who’ll provide a physical presence up front.
