His team are usually great to watch but some of the focus on Brentford will undoubtedly be diverted towards their boss Dean Smith at Elland Road today.

Smith, a boyhood Aston Villa fan, was immediately made one of the favourites for their managerial vacancy following Steve Bruce's exit on Wednesday.

"They put two and two together and sometimes come up with five," Smith told BBC Radio London.

"My job is Brentford and that is all I am interested in.

"My dad was a steward at Villa and I was brought up an Aston Villa fan and I am not sure they are going to give Prince William the job, are they?"

Leeds found themselves in the unfamiliar position of not being top of the Championship at the conclusion of last weekend's round of fixtures.

Normal service was resumed in midweek, however, and Marcelo Bielsa's side begin this weekend at the summit of the second tier.

Tuesday's 1-0 win at Hull was their first victory in three games.
