    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

Lionel Messi hit the post 91 seconds after the break. Philippe Coutinho had scored 92 seconds into the game. Not quick starters, Spurs.

Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris comes chasing out of his box and this time gets it right.

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool are left to right in the second half, with Mo Salah seemingly back in the centre, shunting Roberto Firmino out to the right. The Apprentice has just started on BBC One, you know.

Wow. When Messi wants to accelerate he runs as fast with the ball as he does without it, there's no difference.

Spurs are lucky it didn't bounce back to him off the post otherwise it's hard to see how Spurs would of got anything out this game.

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

    Darren Fletcher
Former Man Utd midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It looks like Spurs have tried to press but they've not laid a glove on them.

Spurs need to start winning balls in Barcelona's defensive half, that's really when they'll punish them.

Aaron: I get wanting to play a little more conservatively but it seems this new style is strangling what made Liverpool such a force last season: their blistering intensity.

  10. Postpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

Tottenham are two (or more) goals down at half-time in a Champions League game for just the second time, the other being at Inter Milan in October 2010 (4-0) - aka the Gareth Bale hat-trick game.

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

    Andy Townsend

A lesson in efficiency from Barcelona, you give these top players a sniff they'll punish you.

A mistake from Hugo Lloris and a superb strike from Rakitic has left Spurs with a huge mountain to climb.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Lots of huffing and puffing, but no real sign of either house being blown down.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

Boos at half-time. For the referee? For Spurs? Either way Barcelona fully deserve this lead - they've been very good.

Paul: Are Liverpool playing for the draw here? Very little attacking intent so far. It's like watching Man Utd at points...

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

James Milner in the book. Rightly so. His studs go sliding into Allan's ankle.

GOAL - PSV 1-1 Interpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Radja Nainggolan (44 mins)

Mark van Bommel will be even angrier now.

Inter break on PSV, keeper Jeroen Zoet spills a speculative shot from distance and Radja Nainggolan seizes on the loose ball to fire home.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    PSV 1-0 Inter

But should this be a red?

PSV boss Marc van Bommel is fuming on the sidelines. Inter keeper Samir Handanovic comes out and clearly handles the ball outside his area as Steven Bergwijn looks to get past him.

Referee Milorad Mazic only brandishes a yellow.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

Three minutes of injury time as Luis Suarez's shot is blocked for a corner.

  20. Postpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-2 Barcelona

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Wembley very quiet and subdued right now as an air of inevitability has settled over proceedings. Some fast talking required from Mauricio Pochettino at half-time.
