Harry Kane looks up at the stands. A man alone in a chaotic pitch. It wasn't to be.

Spurs were probably the better side in large periods but it's Liverpool who have won their sixth European Cup.

They have had a brilliant season.

It's ok - Spurs will mount a comeback in the second leg. Oh wait...

Both sides have had 14 shots on goal. But that doesn't tell the tale.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 90+3 mins

    Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool

That is a good save though! Son hits a low shot from a tight angle and Alisson gets down well to save. He then saves again from Harry Kane.

    Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool

Danny Rose hits a shot at Alisson who holds on. Not sure who you'd make man of the match here, very scruffy final devoid of much in the way of pressure and quality.

Carraghers Bar NYC just hit the ceiling.

They’ll need to repaint the ceiling as it’s ale soaked and there’s now a makeshift European Cup being passed around. I’d get a picture but frankly I’d probably not come out of the mayhem alive.

  11. 'Reds find a way'published at 21:53 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Sean Dyche
Burnley manager on BBC Radio 5 live

Tottenham have grown into the game this second half but Liverpool always find ways of scoring goals.

  12. 'Clinical at just the right moment'published at 21:52 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool

Jermaine Jenas speaking on BT Sport: "Say what you want about Origi and Liverpool’s performance, but he was so clinical. Such a clean strike."

  13. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

There are to be FIVE added minutes. Can Spurs do it again?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no.

It was actually Sadio Mane who came off. If it matters.

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

    Super-sub Divock Origi!

It's Liverpool's Champions League now - and Origi is the man.

What a big-game player Origi has been, he's been given his chance and he's taken his chance.

  16. 'Scruffy goal'published at 21:51 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool

Steve McManaman on BT Sport: "Scruffy goal, indicative of the game, really."

    Divock Origi, the unlikely hero.

Liverpool send on Joe Gomez for Trent Alexander-Arnold, an absolute time waster if ever there was one.

GOAL - Tottenham 0-2 Liverpoolpublished at 87 mins

    Divock Origi

    What a cameo! Again!

Divock Origi has surely sealed the win for Liverpool. He's barely had a touch since coming on but that's a top finish. The corner is not dealt with, Joel Matip helps it on to Origi on the left of the area and he fires in low and hard, into the bottom corner.

    You don't save those!

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

1-0 is the most common score in a European Cup final but we haven't had one since 1998. Liverpool force a corner.

Malc: He’s just not sung tonight, Son.

Alex Haworth: Could play all night and Tottenham wouldn't score.
