Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Maybe we should make this two legs. Worked in the semis.
There's a chance! Clearest chance of the half, Sadio Mane sprints past Christian Eriksen easily, finds James Milner just inside the area and he fizzes a low left-footed shot inches wide!
Hugo Lloris didn't move.

Spurs need to find that extra dimension that brought them to this final and Mauricio Pochettino has called on the hat-trick hero of Amsterdam Lucas Moura.
Still no real evidence of match sharpness from Harry Kane. He needs to show it very soon.

Spurs will only have themselves to blame if they lose this. Liverpool have been there for the taking but Spurs just haven't asked them any questions.
Lee
This has felt like a World Cup final; tired players, exhaustive heat.

We need some sort of lift-off. Anyone? Trent Alexander-Arnold has a cross well headed clear and his corner is volleyed away.

Tottenham introuduce a sub and hope to introuduce a storyline as well.
It's hat-trick hero Lucas Moura for Harry Winks. That counts as an attacking change...
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
The last shot on target was in the 38th minute, a 30-yard speculation from Andy Robertson.
You'd struggle to cut too many highlights from tonight as it stands.

It's much more like Tottenham at the moment
Without being in major trouble, Liverpool must start finding little passages of play again.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Gini Wijnaldum comes off, James Milner on.
Liverpool have only had 37% of the play and maybe the former Leeds man can get hold of the game.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Christian Eriksen shoots but can only hit the oak legs of Virgil van Dijk, and Dele Alli can't link up with Harry Kane.
Poch remains deep in his seat, tie unruffled.

Divock Origi is on then, and a substitute has scored in four of the last five Champions League finals:
2014 – Marcelo
2016 – Yannick Carrasco
2017 – Marco Asensio
2018 – Gareth Bale (2)
Think it's fair to say that as a rule of thumb, if a player has been injured for ages and is brought back for a final/major tournament, they are probably not going to light things up.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Roberto Firmino has looked a shadow of his usual self and he comes off, and on comes semi-final legend Divock Origi. That may shake things up.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Tottenham are pushing and they're probing, and in an attacking sense they could only improve.
Mauricio Pochettino is a gambler. Both managers have brainwashed their teams into believing and that is why you just cannot rule this Spurs side out.
They have belief - and they have belief in abundance.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Another corner, Alisson punches away but a shot deflects off Mo Salah and away. The big lads stay up but Jan Vertonghen can only help his header over the top.

Kassim Patel: The most gripping knockout stages ever leads to one of the stalest finals ever. Fans still singing their hearts out though. Football really is the most wonderful of things!
Andy Fraser: A lot of chat this week about this being the start of English clubs dominating European competitions. The rest of Europe are in for a treat, based on tonight's 'entertainment'.
Joe Wedgewood: These all English finals are rubbish. Don't think the 3 week break helps. I preferred the days of Karius, he brought some action at least!

Spurs are setting the tempo in this second half - as they had to do. This has been a disappointing Champions League Final so far but this competition has produced so many twists and turns this season and there is still plenty of time for more.
The Spurs fans sense this is a crucial phase of the game for their team and have turned up the noise accordingly.
