Former Newcastle and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Those comments Petr Cech made about that hunger and desire to win trophies - we've certainly seen that from Chelsea at the start of this second half. Arsenal now have got to really dig deep.

    Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

That was Eden Hazard's 17th assist in all club comps this season, tied for most by any Premier League player this campaign.

I'll miss you Eden, as a neutral. Not as much as Chelsea will...

  3. 'Maitland-Niles left Arsenal short'published at 21:19 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

    Alan Pardew
Former Newcastle and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Ainsley Maitland-Niles ended up in the centre of the pitch, which left Arsenal short at the back.

Chelsea played a little one-two, Eden Hazard gets it down the left side and then picks out Pedro beautifully. Great goal.

    Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

Hard to make a case for Arsenal to come back here. Although we've said that a few times in Europe this season!

Having a shot on target would be a start. Chelsea haven't been brilliant themselves but they've clearly been on top in this second half. If they win, it will be a first trophy for Maurizio Sarri in his career.

    Game over?

Absolutely clinical from Pedro, eight years after scoring against Manchester United in the Champions League final, he's at it again.

Eden Hazard gets on the left of the area, finds the right pass, of course, and Pedro rather scuffs a left-footed finish across Petr Cech and into the corner.

Unai Emery punches the air in disgust.

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

That is better from the Gunners, Ainsley Maitland-Niles on the underlap this time, his cross is deflected away, a shot is blocked and then one is fired over. Still no efforts for Kepa to save.

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have only had 30% of the play since the break and last had a shot in the 32nd minute. They haven't had one on target all night.

Not good enough when there's a Champions League place at stake.

  9. 'Gunners caught on their heels'published at 21:13 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Alan Pardew
Former Newcastle and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Maybe the Chelsea manager livened things up at half-time. Chelsea have got to the play quicker and Arsenal have been caught on their heels in that period. As a manager, when you come out after half-time you're wondering if you got the mood right.

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Olivier Giroud gets up and is able to play on. That header is an absolute peach by the way, not many Premier League players could have scored that sort of goal.

Pedro is booked for some out of character dissent.

Olivier Giroud has a nightmare, chasing a lost cause down the left he stretches, turns a throw-in into a goal kick and hurts his groin in the meantime. Ouch all round.

  12. 'Textbook header'published at 21:10 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Alan Pardew
Former Newcastle and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a textbook centre-forward's goal. The ball comes in from the wide area, it's quite low and flat, but he gives it all his muster, all his effort, to get across the centre-half, stoop low and bury it into the corner. Petr Cech had no chance. That is a class goal by a striker who's bang in form in Europe.

Chelsea have been much the better side since the restart. Arsenal need to open up now, but that of course could be curtains on the break. Eden Hazard motors past two but Sokratis does well to shut him down.

Silvio: And the failure is almost complete in Emery's season.

Ash: When a stadium has to play music when someone scores just shows the atmosphere is average for a final.

Sam: Outrageous by Uefa giving Arsenal the home advantage by creating such a dull atmosphere inside the stadium - it's like playing at the Emirates...

    Olivier Giroud

There's the early goal I ordered!

It's a belter too from the Europa League specialist Olivier Giroud! Emerson hits an early, flat cross from the left and Giroud gets across his defender to send in a flying, thumping header into the corner from about 12 yards out.

He doesn't want to celebrate against his old club but sort of half does. My first instinct was that Petr Cech maybe should have done better but on second viewing that's a brilliant header.
