Give it to Eden Hazard, has to be Chelsea's gameplan. He dances away past the whole Arsenal midfield and finds Olivier Giroud, his shot deflects away for a corner.

Dixon and Townsend would both get a start in these respective sides, for me. Maybe not at wing-back...

Here come Arsenal down the left, well mopped up on this occasion though by David Luiz.

  3. 'Decision making could be turning point'published at 21:03 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Andy Townsend
Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal played with good control for the first 20-25 minutes. Chelsea have looked menacing at times but it's tight. It's those decisions with the ball at your feet that might be the turning point here.

  4. 'The personnel will decide the system'published at 21:02 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Lee Dixon
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

We still do not know what Arsenal's best defence is. The personnel they sign over the summer will decide what system they will play next season.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

I'm not sure you can count a good atmosphere from 2,500 miles away Alex. Nice try.

    Away they go.

I see everyone's comments around the flat stadium. It's a shame that the venue is where it is. Where I am watching in London the atmosphere is tremendous. Both Arsenal and Chelsea fans cheering on their side!

  7. 'Arsenal's delivery has got to be right'published at 21:01 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Andy Townsend
Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

When Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac get into those areas where they're exposing Chelsea their delivery has got to be there. You've got to make the right call and produce that bit of quality to make it count.

Right, here come the sides! A big half, bigger for Arsenal. It's midnight in Baku.

    NEW DAY NEW START.

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Right, let's get positive. An early goal in the first few minutes of the second half, collective caution thrown to the wind and an avalanche of chances and goals after the break.

4-3. Either way. Let's have it.

  10. "Let's take a look at the highlights"published at 20:57 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Chris Bevan
BBC Sport at Olympic Stadium, Baku

"It's been a tight first half, with chances for both teams," says the stadium announcer here in Baku, with probably the most upbeat description of this game anywhere on the planet.

Then he optimistically adds: "Let's take a look at the highlights."

    This won't take long...

  11. 'No dilly-dallying'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Andy Townsend
Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

I thought it was the right call, there wasn't significant contact for the Arsenal penalty shout. And it was a very quick call, there was no dilly-dallying.

Got to be up there Michael.

Before today, only two of the previous 17 Europa League/Uefa Cup finals have been 0-0 at half-time. Also Benfica v Chelsea 2013 and Sevilla v Benfica 2014.

    We can't blame Benfica tonight.

So very, very flat. Is this the worst atmosphere of all time at a European final?

A reminder that if Arsenal win tonight they get into the Champions League.

That was a reminder for Arsenal, not you reading...

I thought at the time, that the foot had gone in and it was a penalty to Arsenal early on, but I think VAR got it just about right.

  16. A forgettable first halfpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Chris Bevan
BBC Sport at Olympic Stadium, Baku

A forgettable first half, played in front of a half-empty stadium with next to no atmosphere.

Apart from that it's been a great game and a superb occasion.

  17. Postpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

Chelsea had 56% of that first-half possession.

If you're just joining us you've missed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Rubbish.

  18. Gunners had better of the ballpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Alan Pardew
Former Newcastle and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea normally have the lion's share of possession, dictate the play and have their moments. Tonight, Arsenal have looked better in possession, particularly in that last third when the two wing-backs have got in. Chelsea have looked better on the counter-attack, when you'd expect it to be the other way round.

Michael: Can we just skip this one straight to pens, thanks

Nicks: One thing is certain, 20 more mins before Kovacic is subbed off for Barkley
