Well played Pedro, away from a man in midfield and sets N'Golo Kante away down the right, his cross is a good one but Olivier Giroud can't gather it in. Tough ball to collect. Where was the scorpion kick?

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Chelsea's skipper and keeper can both play on, but it's another Arsenal free-kick now. The men in red definitely on top at the moment.

More uncertainty at the back for Chelsea as Cesar Azpilicueta and Kepa run into each other. A hefty collision.

Can hear the players calling to each other. It's a European Final, this is silly

Lacazette definitely got there first. It's whether Kepa actually catches him that is debatable. Did Lacazette get there first then dive after because he knew he wasn't going to get the ball because it was running out of play? We'll have to see that again. It was very close.

This is better from Arsenal, who are using their wing-backs well, Ainsley Maitland-Niles is the out ball and wins another corner. David Luiz heads away dominantly though.

The atmosphere in Baku might not be the best, but at least this pub in London looks lively enough.

That's the first big talking point of the night. Hopefully it's the jump leads needed to get this old dog of a motor going.

Stephen: Turned over to watch Springwatch. Much more atmosphere.

Richard: It's ridiculous how early these pre-season friendlies are starting these days

David: Think my seat in north Wales is closer than the fans seats in Baku?

  12. 'Ozil has such an important role'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

Mesut Ozil has such an important role to play, it'd be great to see him on the ball. He's not quite the same as Hazard in the way he takes players on but the way he passes, the clinical style of his through-balls, it'd be great to see some moments from him.

Lovely ball from Granit Xhaka! Unlocks the whole Chelsea defence to feed in Sead Kolasinac down the left but his cross is cleared. Best pass thus far.

Alexandre Lacazette almost finds Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang through the middle but he can't quite gather it in. Nobody plays with a front two any more really but they must surely be the best pairing?

At the other end Olivier Giroud is handed a soft free-kick.

The last two nights of European football I worked on were two of the best games I've ever seen. This has not started in the same spirit.

    0-0 and pens?

Eden Hazard always plays better with Olivier Giroud in the side, in my opinion, and he uses him as a wall to bounce off a one-two and drive towards the area, he goes down but there's no foul given by referee Gianluca Rocchi.

  17. Gunners turning it over too easypublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Alan Pardew

Arsenal's two central midfield players and their centre-backs need to be much better in possession. They've turned it over to Chelsea and they're starting to get a feel for it, and Eden Hazard's been on the ball in that little pocket.

  19. Baku is not exactly rockingpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Chris Bevan
BBC Sport at Olympic Stadium, Baku

Some of the fans here are trying to get some songs going, with a cry of "Arsenal, Arsenal" the most successful chant yet, but the empty seats and the athletics track (covered up) around the perimeter of the pitch are not exactly helping to get the party started.

  20. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

The combo of camera angle and excess land around the pitch are making this Baku surface look absolutely massive. Remember the first time you play 'full pitch' and you can't believe how far away the penalty area is? Like that.

First chance! Kepa with a flap at an Ainsley Maitland-Niles cross, only out to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and he rushes a shot, wide.
