West Ham United

West Ham's Mark Noble speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"It was a tough game today, Palace were on the back of a loss to Brighton. They score an early goal but we kept playing how we have been, grinding away and got two really good goals and the hardest finish for Hernandez that comes to him quickly.

"Snodgrass was fantastic, a great finish, in quick succession and we get a 3-1 lead. We deserved 1-1 at the break; and we deserved to win the game.

"We have won three games and scored three goals, controlled the ball and passed it well which is the main thing. This week has been a great week but it’s the Premier League so we want to go again on Saturday against Fulham.

"A lot of people wrote us off but we know the quality we have. This week has been tough but to have three wins is fantastic. Training on Monday will be a happy place."

More from Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "It is all about goals, if you concede three home or away you will have to do very well to win the game. You can concede three goals without being under the cosh in the game. They took their chances well. Most goals we concede are bad ones from my point of view because you always hope something better could’ve happened. Whatever I say doesn’t change that and we have lost the game.

"It is no good scoring away from home if the opponents score three.

"The problem with football matches is you need to win them, we have ourselves a chance to win it but then you are 1-3 down and chasing the game which is always going to be difficult. There are no mugs playing at this level of football."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We lost. I am not sure what assessment to make.

"We were quite fortunate at 1-0. After they equalised we started to play better and had good control but after the free kick and strike from Anderson we find ourselves 3-1 down.

"We continued to ask questions but the two goals after the equaliser did for us.

"We are disappointed as the free kick was harsh for us, the yellow cards are disappointing and the two players will now be suspended for the next game, Tomkins and Zaha – to lose players with such good quality is disappointing."

West Ham United

More from Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini: "Every game is different, we concede two goals from a set piece today but I hope we will be more concentrated (in the future). We were so bad to start with, it is very difficult to recover but I think we must continue to try.

"I always say to the player we must have a winning mentality and next we play away to Fulham at the bottom of the league but it is always difficult. We will enjoy today and then tomorrow think about the next game

"It really was a beautiful goal, Felipe (Anderson) can at any moment decide the game."

West Ham United

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "If you review the complete game Palace had three chances to score, and two they score. After that they didn’t have any key options. They didn’t score from a set piece all season but today they did. In the second half we started with more time and with the options to score and we scored three goals.

"Today we were playing too fast, we defended well and didn’t allow Zaha clear chances and when you are losing 1-0 it is easy for them to have dangerous counters. It is the third game in a row where we score three goals and that reflects what we are trying to do."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Chris Hughton, speaking to Match of the Day, asked if he thought his side were unfortunate to lose: "Yes. Certainly. It is different to a few games ago where we lost a couple and didn't have any arguments. Today I thought we were the better side. I thought we had the better chances in the game. We were up against a direct Burnley with a lot of physicality. I thought we dealt with it very well.

"They are a team that plays a certain way. You know second balls they will be good and strong and that is how they got their goal.

Asked if Burnley should have had a penalty: "I have seen three different angles and for me absolutely no.

"I thought our performance was really good. The only thing we were guilty of was having enough shots in the final third. On the balance of play I thought we were the better team."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic, speaking to the Premier League: "We started well and scored the first goal and had control. In the second half they had possession and in the end I hit the bar. The first half was something where we can take positives.

"We tried to take control of the game and keep possession and play side by side but a lack of concentration and focus cost us. It is unacceptable to concede three goals in 30 minutes. We pushed more to try and equalise but we can take big lessons from this game.

"Every single goal is a mistake of someone, I am not here to blame anyone. It is a collective game and we win and lose together. It is a big lesson I think, a very poor beginning to the second half. We didn’t think when we attacked about what happens behind us and we left our defenders and they had some good counter attacks.

"We did not deserve to lose, they didn’t create a lot of chances, we had a lack of concentration. We look forward to a lot of games this month we will try and pick up a lot of points."

Fulham

Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri told BBC Sport: “In the first half it was 11 lambs against 11 wolves. The wolves ate the lambs. The second half was much better but I have to consider if that was a down from Manchester because they were winning 3-0 or we made a good performance.

“We have to be stronger, more confident in our qualities. Without the strength, the power, it is difficult. Manchester United have everything – qualities, power.

“In the first half we were shy, we were waiting. Why? Why were we waiting? Go, play football. Then, if they score, it is normal. I want my team to play and fight for every single ball. In the second half, we did. Why we didn’t in the first half, I need to speak with my players.

“The response in the second half was positive. We played with more intensity, we were hungry, everything better than the first half. The first half was a warm-up.”

Huddersfield Town

I was trying to think of a Father Christmas related pun but it didn't quite work. Santa Mounie doesn't cut it, does it?

"It was a very good away performance against a top team. We have to show we can keep competing at the highest level and then we will collect points for sure.

On playing Newcastle and Southampton in their next two home games: "The performances from the players give us every confidence to look forward. We have a full week to set up and work out how we can cause our opponents problems.

"I look forward to it after today's performances and the performances of the past few weeks."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, speaking to BBC Sport: "Obviously it is hard to take but I can see the positives. This was a proper fight which the players gave Arsenal. We did so many things right and limited their qualities. Unfortunately the result is what it is.

"We frustrated Arsenal, how the players did it tactically, and the shift they put in, was brilliant. Our tactics worked but unfortunately this goal was an unlucky one because the rebound and second rebound went to Arsenal."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton defender Bruno, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we had a good performance today but we couldn't find a way to score. They had not even one chance. It is a stadium where you will have plenty of second balls. It is a shame to concede a goal like that."

Cardiff City

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock speaking to Match of the Day: "We made it hard work. I felt we should have made it more comfortable with the chances that we had.

"I criticise referees a lot, but Jonathan Moss is the only referee who would have played advantage like he did for the goal.

"I knew when I woke up last night that it was a big game. I thought the fans were excellent today – the noise they created was superb.

"We know that we’re going to get most of the points here – we’ve already surprised a lot of people – but we just need to keep our feet on the ground."

Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl speaking to the Premier League: "For a long time it looked like a 0-0. It was a very tough game for both teams.

"In the second period our performance was better and better. We had a few chances but in this best period we nearly made an own goal. It was a terrible mistake.

"The mentality was ok. We never gave up today. I have seen some good things from my team but we made too many mistakes today. We know that we have a hard and long way ahead of us.

"There are guys in the changing room with their heads down. It’s all about staying together and taking the next step in our development."

They had 38% possession, Burnley, but they got it into wide areas and crossed it. They did the basics very well, Sean Dyche was on them from the touchline, making sure they were ready to go. They were on it today, like they were last season.

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, speaking to Match of the Day, about his post-victory emotions: "I think it is a bit of relief, and enjoyment. It was hard earn win and hard fought. We never thought it would come from being free-flowing. We thought we would have to dig in and we have done that today.

"A goal is a goal. When you find wins hard to come by and clean sheets hard come by, 1-0 is a very pleasing result. The performances have been suggesting we were getting back to that hardy edge we know we have got. We created chances but it wasn't about that. It was about fight and spirit.

"We know we can get better but sometimes you got to grind. We have done enough today to get by."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield defender Christopher Schindler: "We have done a lot of things right, we knew we needed a bit of luck in certain situations, which we did actually, we had them close to getting a vital point. We can be proud of the performance but not the result.

"In the first half we pressed Arsenal high, I don't think they expected that. We kept them away from our goal. This bravery, and the risk we took, is not easy but I think we did quite a good job for the majority of the game. We showed we can compete against teams with good quality and now we have to go again.

"We had 26 shots and 70% ball possession at Bournemouth away - that is extraordinary. We have to turn that into points. I expect three teams to be behind us, actually.

"I think in second half we had energy problems after three games this week. We didn't have enough energy to put pressure on them like we did in the first half. Maybe on a perfect day we would have scored a goal."
