  1. Hibs debut for Omeongapublished at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2019

    Motherwell v Hibernian (19:45)

Motherwell winger Elliott Frear picked up a knock in training, so teenager Jake Hastie gets the chance to show what he can do.

Captain Peter Hartley, Carl McHugh, Danny Johnson and Ross McCormack also drop out after the Fir Park side's Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Ross County.

Liam Grimshaw, Allan Campbell, Alex Gorrin and Curtis Main come into the starting line-up.

Hibs goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is out with a concussion and his place goes to Ofir Marciano.

New signing Stephane Omeonga comes straight in and there's a return for Ryan Porteous in what looks like a back three. Vykintas Slivka and Sean Mackie drop to the bench.

Ryan Gauld makes his first Scottish top-flight appearance since May 2014, having started his loan spell at Hibs by setting up the opening goal against Elgin on Saturday.

  2. Two changes each at Tynecastlepublished at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2019

    Hearts v Dundee (19:45)

With top scorer Steven Naismith suspended, Hearts make two changes from Sunday's Scottish Cup win over Livingston. Demetri Mitchell and Aidan Keena, who has been recalled from a loan spell at Dunfermline start and Ben Garuccio, like Naismith, drops out. Still no John Souttar, Uche Ikpeazu and Peter Haring for the hosts.

Visiting manager Jim McIntyre also makes two changes to his team with forwards Andrew Nelson and Andy Dales coming in for Roarie Deacon and Kenny Miller, who are both on the bench.

Dundee defender Darren O'Dea serves the final game of his two-match ban, while Andrew Davies suffered a broken foot just a few days after signing.

  3. Accies out to stop rot against Aberdeenpublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2019

    Hamilton v Aberdeen (19:45)

Just the one change for Hamilton following Saturday's Scottish Cup defeat by St Johnstone with Tom Taiwo replacing Lennard Sowah.

Hamilton are going through a sticky patch with six defeats in their past seven outings and manager Martin Canning was on the end of some serious vitriol from fans on Saturday and reminded frustrated fans: "We've kept the club up four seasons in a row. That's the record. We've never done that before in our history. That's success, if you like.

"It's not often that I defend myself, I usually just accept it and move on. But if I'm looking at what my job is, it's to keep Hamilton in the top flight."

One change also for Aberdeen with Stevie May taking over from the benched Niall McGinn.

The Dons were going great guns in December, with six wins from their eight league matches rocketing them up the table.

But Derek McInnes' men are winless in four Premiership visits to Hamilton (D2 L2) since a 3-0 win in February 2015.

Chris Burke comes into the Kilmarnock line-up and Kirk Broadfoot is fit enough for a place on the bench following a bout of concussion.

  6. Is the winter break a winner?published at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2019

Are we backing the winter break?

The managers appear to like it but a lot of them complained about the hectic December schedule. At the weekend, Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson said his side were rusty after a Scottish Cup defeat to Ross County.

Of course, the weather was mild in the main during the three-week hiatus for top flight clubs and now it's absolutely Baltic!
