  1. goal

GOAL Livingston 0-1 Rangerspublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Ryan Jack

A howler from goalkeeper Liam Kelly, just after we were heaping praise on him.

Ryan Jack has a blast from 20 yards, it goes through a cluster of players but Kelly is there in plenty of time to stop it. Somehow, it squirms through his grasp and into the net.

  2. YELLOW CARD Lamie (Livingston)published at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

A stupid free kick to give away as Rickie Lamie swipes the legs away from Daniel Candeias near the byeline.

Declan Gallagher heads away the free kick and then Craig Halkett gets rid of the following corner. Resolute defending from the hosts, as ever.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Daniel Candeias robs his man near halfway and plays a sensational pass into the path of Alfredo Morelos, who thumps a first-time shot low against the post.

Craig Halkett is back to thump the ball away and it deflects off Scott Arfield, looping onto the roof of the net.

    Livi living a charmed life...

  4. Postpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

First chance for Livi as Craig Halkett has the strength to hold off three opponents inside the penalty box and lay the ball off for Stevie Lawless to have a crack from 18 yards. The shot is always rising and flies high over the target.

I think Morelos will be disappointed not to score that. He just couldn't get into the right position.

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Borna Barisic curls a beauty of a cross in from the left but it's just a fraction too high for Alfredo Morelos at the back post and the Rangers striker can only head wide.

  7. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Now we have two Rangers men down as Ross McCrorie is the filling in a sandwich between two Livingston players then Alfredo Morelos is hacked down by Craig Halkett, bring a counter-attack to a crude halt.

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

A big miss... Ross McCrorie is all alone on the edge of the six yard box as he meets a fizzing corner from Borna Barisic but the holding midfielder makes a mess of his header, planting the ball well wide.

  10. ouch!

Postpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Shaun Byrne gets a stray elbow in the ribs and needs a bit of attention but these Livi lads are hard nuts and it will take more than that to stop the midfielder.

  11. Rangers connections aplenty for Livipublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Good work there from Liam Kelly, who has been in fantastic form for Livingston this season, following his move away from Rangers.

On-loan Ryan Hardie is not the only other home player with Ibrox connections, with captain Craig Halkett released as a youth and substitute Gregg Wylde playing nearly 50 games before his departure in 2012.

  12. Postpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

Scott Arfield slips a pass in behind the home defence and Alfredo Morelos is on to it in a flash. Out comes Liam Kelly and the Livi keeper does well to stay on his feet and force the striker wide before touching the final shot behind.

  13. Postpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Rangers

The home side don't waste any time getting the ball forward but it's Rangers who are enjoying more possession in the opening exchanges. That could well be the story of the afternoon.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

Away we go in West Lothian after a peep of the whistle from referee Kevin Clancy.

Not long to go now. A win for Rangers takes Steven Gerrard's side back into second place.

Livingston need three points to return to seventh spot ahead of Hibs but have gone five games without a win since they demolished Hearts 5-0 on 14 December.

  17. 'Naivety' cost St Mirren - Kearneypublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    FT: St Mirren 1-3 Hibernian

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney on Sportsound: "I just felt there was a wee bit of naivety when we didn't get our goals.

"We had to be more resolute and stronger and see out that little wave that Hibernian were having.

"There were huge parts of that performance today that, when the dust settles, we'll be very content with and very happy with.

"A huge amount of big performances and potential there for the future."

  18. 'Fingers crossed for Menga' - Holtpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Livingston v Rangers (16:00)

Livingston manager Gary Holt tells BBC Sportsound: "If we can keep a clean sheet for long enough, I believe we will create chances.

"I've got my fingers crossed for Dolly Menga after his hamstring problem. Ryan Hardie is a big loss, so we're hoping someone else steps up. I want my players to brave, go toe-to-toe with your opponent and try to dominate him.

"The pitch does help us but too many people use it as an excuse. I've been watching the St Mirren v Hibs game and the ball is bobbling about all over the place."
