  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 1-0 Hibernian

Ofir Marciano denies Simeon Jackson a second goal as he comes off his line and throws up a hand to block the shot from the close range as Hibs make a mess of clearing a free-kick.

  2. 'Gray deserved yellow card'published at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

That was a full-back going for the ball. The goalkeeper is favourite, you shouldn't really be going for that. If you don't get the ball you are always going to be in danger of getting a yellow card, and that's what Gray deserved.

  3. YELLOW CARD Gray (Hibernian)published at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 1-0 HIbernian

St Mirren goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky is down quickly to gather a through ball from Vykintas Slivka and he takes a dunt in the head from David Gray as the Hibs skipper slides in rather late.

  4. 'Jackson came alive in the box'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 1-0 Hibernian

We just spoke about it. Simeon Jackson's service has been poor. But that was a really good ball along the six-yard line. Jackson came alive in the box, doing what he does best and tapping the ball into the net.

GOAL St Mirren 1-0 Hibernianpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    Simeon Jackson

First blood to St Mirren, on their first real attack.

Brad Lyons is too quick for Darren McGregor on the left and thumps and inviting cross in for Simeon Jackson to ram in from the edge of the six yard box.

As we wait for this game to spark into life, there's time to tell you we will be running our player raters for both games today, so you can have your say on how you think the players are performing.

Nothing much to go on yet, I'm afraid.

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

    Gordon Smith

The luminous kit of Hibernian, and the slightly different shade sported by Ofir Marciano in goal, seems to be causing issues in Paisley...

    Quote Message

It's not exactly the same green but there's not a big difference. Things happen quickly when the ball is played in the box, there is every chance they may think it's an outfield player.

  8. Postpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

A much better delivery from Stevie Mallan this time and here comes Hibs captain David Gray to meet it but his thumping header clears the crossbar by a foot or two.

  9. Postpublished at 13:49 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

Ryan Gauld threads a sweet pass forward with the outside of his boot to find Daryl Horgan scampering forward. However, the Irishman takes a bad first touch as he makes his way into the penalty area and that allows Paul McGinn to slide in and concede a corner.

  10. Postpublished at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

Florian Kamberi gathers a nice pass from Steven Whittaker and the Hibs striker has time to turn and have a pop from distance. The game's first shot on goal flies high over the target.

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

Now St Mirren win a free kick following a clumsy challenge from Marvin Bartley. Greg Tansey whips it in but Steven Whittaker is there to nod clear in the middle of a busy penalty area.

  13. Postpublished at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

The defensive wall leaps as a unit and Stevie Mallan's effort hits a head and spins high over the top. The resulting corner from the same player is a stinker - massively over-hit.

  14. Postpublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

Free kick to Hibs, 25 yards out. That's Stevie Mallan range. The former Buddies man is over it.

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

Hibs are playing into the low winter sun and already players are shielding their eyes in order to see what's going on.

Strange that Ofir Marciano is not wearing a goalies' cap. It might explain a terrible pass out of his box, straight to a Buddies man. But the visitors manage to mop up the danger.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hibernian

We are up and running... Hibs in their luminous yellow change kit on a dazzling sunny day in Paisley.

  18. Tight fight to avoid the droppublished at 13:28 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren v Hibernian (13:30)

It's a real battle at the bottom with two points covering the three teams at the wrong end of the Premiership table.

A win today lifts St Mirren up to 10th spot but that three-way tussle looks like going to the wire, with the rest of the pack already out of sight.

  19. Transfer window has been 'carnage' - Kearneypublished at 13:23 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren v Hibernian (13:30)

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney on Sportsound: "The situation at Hibs hasn't effected us because it's nothing to do with us.

"I'm really exited about Anders Dryer and getting him out there. He's an exciting talent.

"We'd hope for another possibly two, maybe three signings before the window closes. We're happy with the business that we've done to this point in time.

"I left Coleraine in the summer. My business in the summer was two players out and two players in. My business in this window has been carnage for want of a better description. I think it's about 16 or 17 out maybe eight in.

"To try and get the turnaround that we need and try and get the lift that we need, I think it was important to do that."

  20. Going for goals in Paisleypublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2019

    St Mirren v Hibernian (13:30)

If history tells us something, we should be in for some goals today.

In the previous 48 meetings between the sides, a run that stretches back all the way to 1993, there have only been three 0-0 draws between the sides.

That's what you call a kiss of death...
