  5. 'More pressure on England'published at 16:14 British Summer Time 9 June 2019

    England v Scotland (17:00 BST)

Scotland manager Shelley Kerr: "We're playing against a formidable England team, ranked third in the world.

"And part of the reason Phil Neville took the job was to win a World Cup, so it's going to be a tough task.

"There's so many variables that can happen, especially in a first game, there's no doubt there's more pressure on England than there is on Scotland.

"However, the pressure that we have is the pressure the players are putting themselves under."

I've done about eight laps of the stadium trying to find the right entrance, and ended up bumping in to a very committed couple who have travelled all the way from Barrow-in-Furness to support England sub Georgia Stanway.

And they've gone the extra mile to get a specially-commissioned England shirt. Rashford out, Stanway in.

And the reason Emlyn Hughes makes an appearance on the badge? He was the last person born in Barrow to score for England.

  7. No 'nicey nicey' approachpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 9 June 2019

    England v Scotland (17:00 BST)

England should be "brave enough" to accept criticism if they "don't achieve their ambitions" during their Women's World Cup campaign in France, says manager Phil Neville.

"In my first press conference I said I wanted to win the World Cup," he said.

"One of the journalists said 'don't you think that's brave and bolshy?' I said no because that's where we want to be.

"There's always been this real 'nicey nicey' approach to the women's game and I'm of the opinion that if you win get praise but if you do a bad pass then you are going to get criticised."

    England v Scotland (17:00 BST)

Jo Love’s Scotland career has spanned 17 years and a lot of that has been spent working or playing alongside manager Shelley Kerr.

The Glasgow City midfielder played with Kerr, has been roommates with the boss and has a close friendship with her. But what does she think of Kerr as a manager?

“She made it easy for me... well, apart from the fact she gets up early. Like stupidly early. And she always used to slag me for sleeping all the time.

“We used to spend hours in the car together going up and down to Doncaster with another Scotland player, Pauline Hamill. Shelley had this wee banger car that we ran up and down in and one day, when we were driving along, she just suddenly said 'ah cannae brake'. I was in the back screaming but she was just calm and composed as usual and pulled it on to the hard shoulder.

“We'd had that transition from team-mates and friends to her being my manager but we can still have a laugh and I can still say what I feel because we know how each other works."

England head coach Phil Neville: "This is the biggest thing that I’ve ever done in my life. World Cups made me fall in love with football.

“It is about calmness, I want to see my team play with freedom. They have to play with a smile on their face, and they have to be fresh.

"We like the pressure being on us but we have huge respect for our opponents. This is our toughest game by far."
