    Oh, wait.

Argentina are going to RETAKE the penalty. Lee Alexander came off her line early. It's Wendie-Renard-France-syndrome all over again!!!

DRAMA! Scotland keeper Lee Alexander is the nation's hero!!!!! She has SAVED the penalty.

Scotland still lead 3-2 against Argentina in stoppage time. WOW.

UH-OH! Argentina have a penalty courtesy of a VAR review. They are currently 3-2 down...

Remember, Scotland HAVE to win to go through.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 90 mins

    Japan 0-2 England

England really need to stop doing this. Yuika Sugasawa is clean through in the centre and only has Karen Bardsley to beat.

The keeper pulls off another good save and Steph Houghton reacts quickest to mop up the rebound.

Millie Bright's not had the best game at centre-back today!

  9. 'Carney threads it through and White does the rest'published at 21:42 British Summer Time 19 June 2019

    Japan 0-2 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Japan have had a host of chances and haven't taken them but England get one opportunity and who is it? It's Ellen White and she toe-pokes it home.

Karen Carney threads it through and White does the rest.

GOAL - Japan 0-2 Englandpublished at 84 mins

    Ellen White

That's the goal England were looking for!

Both substitutes Karen Carney and Nikita Parris are involved in the build-up as Ellen White does the damage, yet again!

Parris cuts inside, lays it off to Jill Scott, who moves it onto Carney. The midfielder sees the run of White and threads a perfectly-weighted ball through the centre.

White takes it in her stride and just slots it into the bottom left corner. What a finish!

Nikita Parris is on. Toni Duggan is off.

  12. 'Bardsley does just enough there'published at 21:39 British Summer Time 19 June 2019

    Japan 0-1 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Karen Bardsley did enough there. If she makes contact it would have been a penalty but she doesn't. She just gets there and does enough to put the striker off.

  13. CLOSE!published at 84 mins

    Japan 0-1 England

What a goal this would have been! Hina Sugita swings a lovely ball in from the left and Yuika Sugasawa gets there in front of Millie Bright.

She's jumping as she makes contact and can only direct it into the side-netting but Karen Bardsley had been beaten and was off her line!

Janet Hooper: England might need to go a bit long ball to cut out Japan's pressing.

Lee Fergusson: Japan have definitely had the better of it in this second half.

    Japan 0-1 England

England look a bit nervy now. Japan are starting to pepper the box. Could it have been a different story if Toni Duggan had put this chance away earlier?

    Japan 0-1 England

England have faced as many shots tonight (nine) as they did in their first two World Cup matches combined (seven v Scotland, two v Argentina).

Again, there's a gap at the back. Steph Houghton is caught napping and Nana Ichise brings the ball down expertly before volleying it wide.

  20. 'England leaving gaps for Japan to play in 'published at 21:34 British Summer Time 19 June 2019

    Japan 0-1 England

    Rachel Yankey
Ex-England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

England are leaving plenty of gaps for Japan to play in and you can't do that forever against a team as good as Japan.

It's playing into England's hands that Japan are favouring shots from distance - because they haven't been that good from distance yet.
