A corner from the left comes through to Hina Sugita in the box. The Japanese play-maker fires it goalwards but there are too many bodies in the way.

It falls invitingly in the centre, just a few yards out and there's three players sliding in to try and get there first.

Yuika Sugasawa is practically kicking Dominique Bloodworth and the referee signals for a free-kick for the Netherlands.

Five minutes for Japan to find an equaliser. They don't deserve to lose this do they?

The late goal specialists have done it again. It is heartbreaking for Japan for the best bit of the game and it was a lucky penalty.

She tried to get her arm out of the way and there was nothing she could do about it.

Simon Atkins: One of the best halves of football of the entire tournament. Japan playing great football. Netherlands still dangerous when they do get forward. Bring on another 30 minutes!

Another super-sub from the Dutch. Jill Roord, who has just signed for Arsenal, is replacing new teammate Danielle van de Donk.

Dutch left-back Merel van Dongen is replaced by Ajax captain Kika van Es.

I have only watched Yuka Momiki for five minutes and she is absolutely superb.

Vivianne Miedema just can't seem to get any room. There's a group of defenders around her every time and another of her shots is blocked on the edge of the area.

A few moments later, Lineth Beerensteyn drills it across the face of the goal but there's nobody there to put pressure on the keeper.

Yuka Momiki comes close again! It's another shot from inside the box but this time it flies inches over the bar.

I thought the keeper got a touch but apparently not! I was about to ring her praises for another brilliant save.

How are Japan not ahead!?

There's too much space and hen Yuika Sugasawa's header bounces off the defender, it falls kindly for substitute Yuka Momiki.

She waits for the defender to commit before firing it towards the right post. Keeper Sari van Veenendaal pulls off a terrific save!

What a goal that would have been. The build-up was brilliant and it was arrowing towards the corner but it hit the bar. Japan deserve to be ahead.

Hina Sugita starts the move off with some brilliant play down the right. She intercepts the ball in midfield, slides it left after side-stepping two challenges.

When she gets the ball back, she takes her time before crashing an effort off the crossbar!

Another lovely ball is lifted over the top and Mana Iwabuchi can run onto it. Her first touch inside the box forces her wide and her shot, from a tight angle, crashes into the side-netting.

Bayern Munich striker Lineth Beerensteyn goes straight up the other end and wins a corner for the Netherlands.

Yuika Sugasawa almost gets a yard on defender Stefanie van der Gragt but when it's played over the top, the flag goes up for offside.
