Fulham caretaker manager Scott Parker speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We are a bit disappointed. We knew the task ahead of us. We had a game plan that we worked hard on this week. We wanted to take the sting out of Wolves.

"I said to the players after, we are talking about fine margins. A few months ago we were talking about bigger issues that put us in the position we were in, so that is the most encouraging thing.

"It’s a tough place to come here but I felt we dominated the ball today and for us that’s the best way to defend. We have conceded one goal in four now and that’s down to the players.

"Our main aim now is next year and the task ahead, it’s a big task and we know what we want to do."

On 16-year-old debutant Harvey Elliott: "He got on the pitch because he deserves to. He has been training with us for three weeks and has been outstanding, he deserves it. He is a special talent and we will nurture him the best we can.”

Wolves

"But I’m really pleased with the way we finished the season at home, the fans have been fantastic this season.

"We had to be focused, organised and disciplined because Fulham had chances also, it was a tight game."

There is a massive year next year, the aim is to bounce back and that has to be the main focus really and the quicker they do that the better for everyone.

“I’m looking forward to next year but that has to go a lot deeper, I’m sure this week we will have a clearer idea. I’m not sure [if there will be an announcement], but we will see.

“It’s a big job because we are getting relegated and when you get relegated things change. We have some quality in the team which I’m sure other people will want. But we have owners here who are very positive and will give us the best opportunity to bounce back.”

There's going to be a lot of goals in this game. Crystal Palace don't look great at the back whenever Cardiff put a bit of pressure on them. But, in fairness, on the counter Palace are on it today and look really dangerous.

Crystal Palace somehow clear at one end after Cardiff throw bodies into the box, and then Neil Etheridge makes a point-blank save at the other to deny Michy Batshuayi - superb reactions!

Both teams close to finding the net in a matter of seconds.

Cardiff are seriously rocking... the ball breaks to Wilfried Zaha in the area but he smashes against his own team-mate Jordan Ayew.

It's a beautiful little one-two between Ayew and Batshuayi. A great weight of pass, Batshuayi is in six yards out and it's almost impossible to miss.

Quick feet from Wilfried Zaha to drift inside and then disguise a pass into the path of Michy Batshuayi, but it fools his team-mate too.
